An electronic device includes a biometric sensor configured to generate biometric data by sensing a biometric characteristic and to encrypt the biometric a near field communication (NFC) controller configured to perform a near field communication, and a secure storage device coupled to the NFC controller, and configured to receive the encrypted biometric data from the biometric sensor through an internal communications channel, which may include an application processor and the NFC controller, and to store the biometric data by decrypting the encrypted biometric data.

A memory system includes a memory controller and a memory device. The memory device includes a first converter and a first power controller. The memory device is connected to the memory controller through a channel including at least one optical signal line. The first converter converts between at least one optical signal of the at least one optical signal line and at least one internal electrical signal of the memory device. The first power controller controls power consumption of the first converter based on an operating state of the memory device.

An electronic device includes an operation processor for encoding image data that is generated by capturing an object, and a communication circuit for communicating with an external device. The operation processor divides an image represented by the image data into a first region and a second region based on an information signal that is received from the external device, encode first image data corresponding to the first region by a first encoding manner, and encode second image data corresponding to the second region by a second encoding manner. An outline of the first region varies depending on a shape of a display device of the external device.
