Abstract:
A substantially zero clearance clamping pivot shoe having a top camming member and a bottom camming member, each camming member including camming elements. A top clamping element and a bottom clamping element disposed between the camming members for clamping a portion of a track within which the shoe is disposed. The clamping elements each including camming surfaces and braking surfaces such that as a window to which the shoe is attached pivots, the camming surfaces and the camming elements interact to urge the clamping elements together to clamp the portion of the track therebetween.
Abstract:
A method of advertising in a shower for the hospitality industry including providing replaceable advertisements on a shower closure, for example a door, curtain or the like.
Abstract:
A closure assembly is provided including a track and a slidable and pivotable closure member. The closure member is engaged with the track proximate first and second pivots adjacent the pivotable end of the member, the first and second pivots being interconnected by a multiple segment shaft (for example at least two portions) (for example telescoping) which provides for accurate installation, retention, removal, adjustment and alignment of the first and second pivots in a substantially parallel line for pivotally supporting the closure member so that it may be safely and securely pivoted away from the closure assembly. Improvements to the abovementioned structure are also provided.
Abstract:
A closure assembly to be installed in an opening for a building, said closure assembly comprising a frame for supporting a moveable closure member therewithin, said frame including top, bottom and side members, one of the members including a hollow pocket within the interior of said member and for receiving a spring biased roller assembly upon which a flexible material is accumulated, said flexible material being selected from a blind, a bug screen, a solar screen, or the like, the flexible material being movable between a fully retracted first position whereat the material is contained within the pocket to a fully extended second position whereat the material covers some or all of the opening of the building.
Abstract:
A latch reinforcing block for engagement with the nose portion of any tilt latch assembly and preferably with the above-mentioned camlock/tilt latch combination, said block comprising a top and bottom and having extending from proximate the top to proximate the bottom there-through fastening portions to fasten said reinforcing block within the track of a preferred window assembly, said reinforcing block having disposed proximate the top thereof at least one cutout, notch or pocket extending towards the bottom and for receipt of a corresponding nose portion of the latch assembly in order to pass loads such as wind loads or the like to the frame section to which the reinforcing block is attached.

Abstract:
A pivoting and sliding closure assembly is provided which rides in a guide channel of a frame upon a pivot shoe assembly which at one end securely pivots a closure member upon one pivot shoe when the closure is pivoted away from the channel, and which latches the closure member in a slidable position when the closure member is pivoted to its latched position. The pivot shoes are connected together in the assembly and unique cam structures and rollers are incorporated in the assembly.

Abstract:
A sliding screen frame for a closure assembly having an opening and an existing track for mounting a screen, the screen frame has framing sections with both inner and outer side edges, and a housing from which a screen is payed out and accumulated. The framing sections are adapted on the outer side edge to interfit with the existing track of the closure assembly to enable the sliding screen frame to slide across the opening of the closure assembly and the frame sections also being adapted on the inner side edge thereof to support and guide the free end of the screen between a fully payed out and a fully accumulated position. The screen frame has a mitreless corner connector for connecting adjacent framing sections without the need for mitre cuts thereof to establish continuity between the corner connector and the adjacent framing sections.
