    摘要: A fenestration operation hardware assembly includes latch mechanisms configured for coupling to respective top and bottom sashes, and a paddle member configured for coupling the latch mechanisms. The latch mechanisms include movable latch bolts, and at least one of the latch mechanisms includes an operator interface feature movable between at least initial and operating positions. In an initial position, the latch bolts are in respective projected positions, and the top and bottom panels are immobilized. In a first withdrawn position, at least one of the top and bottom panels is movable, and in a second withdrawn position, at least one of the top and bottom panels is tiltable. In an example, a top latch bolt is moved by the paddle member according to movement of the bottom latch bolt.

    摘要: An improved forced entry resistant sash lock comprises a housing, a shaft rotatably mounted thereto, a locking spring, and a locking cam and a delay cam rotatably and fixedly mounted to the shaft, respectively. The delay cam selectively engages and drives the locking cam between a locked position and an unlocked position. Locking spring biasing causes engagement with a locking cam opening to lock the cam when in the latch-locked position, with engagement to a depth permitting releasable detent engagement in a delay cam recess. Selective engagement and driving of the locking cam comprises a first portion of delay cam rotation being without driven locking cam rotation, and a second portion causing driven locking cam rotation from a retracted position into a protruding position. Selective engagement is by contact between corresponding protrusions on the delay and locking cams. Shaft/delay cam counter-rotation to unlock the latch proceeds in a reverse manner.

The locking assembly may include a first keeper secured to the door frame, a first locking cam configured to movably engage the first keeper, and a handle assembly coupled to the first locking cam. The handle assembly may be movable between a first position in which the handle assembly is in contact with the door frame and the first locking cam engages the first keeper to maintain the door in the closed position relative to the door frame and a second position in which the first locking cam disengages the first keeper to allow the door to open. The first and second positions of the handle assembly illustratively define an obtuse angle therebetween.

    摘要: A sash lock assembly is suitable for use with a sash window assembly including an upper sash window and a lower sash window slidable within a master frame, the upper sash window having a keeper connected thereto. The sash lock assembly includes a housing adapted to be mounted on the lower sash window, a cam positioned within the housing, an actuator handle, and an anti-rotation device. The housing has an opening therein. The actuator handle extends through the opening in the housing and is connected to the cam such that the actuator handle and the cam rotate together between a locked position, wherein the cam is adapted to engage the keeper, and an unlocked position, wherein the cam is adapted to disengage from the keeper. The anti-rotation device includes a protrusion positioned on the housing. When the sash lock assembly is in the locked position, the protrusion engages an engaging surface on the actuator handle to prevent rotation of the actuator handle.

The locking device includes a keeper defining an internal or keeper cavity, a housing defining first and second tier-recess combinations, a solid cam rotatively positioned within the first tier-recess combination, and a washer positioned between the housing interior and the flat top portion of the cam. The second tier-recess combination, or keeper recess, is defined by at least a portion of the housing that engages the keeper, such that the keeper is nestable within (wholly or partially enclosed by) the second tier-recess combination. Attempting to force the cam past the keeper cavity when the locking mechanism is locked results in the distribution of the force across the surface area of the keeper recess. The first tier-recess combination further defines an aperture for mounting a handle to engage and operate the cam.

The force interrupting portion is arranged and constructed to interrupt the force transmitting path when the force exceeds a predetermined value.
