    摘要: The shutter glasses for the display apparatus include a shutter-glasses communication unit which receives a first sync signal from the display apparatus displaying a three-dimensional (3D) image; and a shutter-glasses controller which generates an ON/OFF driving signal for a left-eye lens unit and a right-eye lens unit of the shutter glasses based on the first sync signal, the first sync signal including a pattern, based on which at least one sync pulse is periodically omitted in a second sync signal used in displaying the 3D image according to a frame driving frequency of the 3D image. The shutter-glasses controller generates an ON/OFF driving signal in sync with the first sync signal, so that the ON/OFF driving signal includes the sync pulse in a section corresponding to the omitted sync pulse of the second sync signal according to a time period of the first sync signal.

The apparatus includes a disparity estimator which estimates disparity in an input 3D image and determines a disparity histogram pixel-wise; a disparity adjustor which analyzes energy of a parallax range of the disparity histogram and determines a disparity adjustment amount; and a 3D image reproducer which reproduces the 3D image based on the disparity adjustment amount. Accordingly, the disparity adjustment amount is determined by analyzing disparity energy of the disparity histogram, so a viewer may feel visual comfort and an optimal stereoscopic effect may be provided.

The method includes estimating a disparity vector between a reference frame and each adjacent frame at a different viewpoint from a viewpoint of the reference frame; generating a compensated version of the adjacent frame using the reference frame and the disparity vector; determining a correlation between the adjacent frame and the compensated frame; and determining a prediction structure for encoding the multiview video using the determined correlation. When the method and apparatus are used, a multiview video can be efficiently encoded using a prediction structure that uses a minimum amount of information regarding the multiview video.

A first, second, and third image is captured at the same time by a first, second, and third camera consecutively located at certain intervals. Data is encoded and transmitted for one of the first and third image, data regarding non-transmission of a residual image created, when the residual image is lower than the threshold value, and the residual image, when the residual image is higher than the threshold value. Thus, the compression rate is increased since data compressed for the second image is not transmitted at the time when a difference between an intermediate image and the second image is lower than the threshold value.
