摘要： A magneto-optical recording apparatus comprising an optical head shiftable in the diametrical direction of a magneto-optical disk and capable of irradiating a light beam onto the magneto-optical disk, and a magnetic head disposed to be mutually opposite to the optical head with the magneto-optical disk interposed therebetween and capable of applying a magnetic field to the magneto-optical disk while being shifted in the diametrical direction of the magneto-optical disk, wherein the magnetic head is shiftable in the diametrical direction of the magneto-optical disk together with the optical head. The magnetic head consists of an E-shaped core and a coil wound around a center core element thereof, and the E-shaped core is so formed that the sectional length of the center core element in one direction extending toward two side core elements becomes equal to or shorter than the sectional length in another direction orthogonal thereto. The magnetic head is so disposed that the orthogonal direction of its core becomes coincident with the diametrical direction of the magneto-optical disk.

摘要： A magneto-optical disc having an optical-magnetic recording layer, formed on the surface of a transparent base plate opposite its beam incident surface is disclosed, wherein a layer excellent in lubriciousness is formed in superimposition on the optical-magnetic recording layer to enable the magnetic head to be in direct sliding contact with the disc surface to provide for stable recording and improved recording performance as well as to reduce adverse effects caused by deposition of foreign matter such as dust and dirt.

An alkylene oxide derivative is characterized by being represented by the below-described general formula (I): (formula I) Z—{O-[(AO)a-(EO)b]-R}2  (I) (In the formula, Z is the residue obtained by removing hydroxyl groups from the dimer diol, EO is an oxyethylene group, AO is an oxyalkylene group having 3 to 4 carbon atoms, and the addition form is block-type. The symbols a and b are the average addition mole numbers of the above-described oxyalkylene group and the oxyethylene group, respectively, and they are 1≦2 a≦150 and 1≦2 b≦150. The percentage of the oxyethylene groups with respect to the sum of the oxyalkylene groups having 3 to 4 carbon atoms and the oxyethylene groups is 10 to 99 mass %. Rs may be either identical to or different from each other, and they are hydrocarbon groups having 1 to 4 carbon atoms.)

摘要： A skin treatment composition of the present invention is an external composition for skin comprising an alkylene oxide derivative expressed by Formula (I): R1O—[(AO)m(EO)n]—R2  (I) wherein AO is an oxyalkylene group of C3 or C4; EO is an oxyethylene group; m and n are 1≦m≦70 and 1≦n≦70 respectively, wherein EO is 20˜80% by weight with respect to a total of AO and EO; each of R1 and R2 is a hydrogen or a hydrocarbon group having C1-4. The alkylene oxide derivative (I) has a moisturizing effect, a rough skin improving effect, a stickiness improving effect, and a transdermal absorption promoting effect. When a refreshing agent is used together therewith in the composition of the present invention, the refreshing effect lasts for a long time and it is excellent in feeling of use without skin stimulation.
