The server includes circuitry configured to in response to an initiation request from an initiating terminal, generate a session ID and allocate a relay device, update the session management database based on the generated session ID and allocated relay device, transmit information identifying the generated session ID and the allocated relay device to the initiating terminal and destination terminals identified by the requesting terminal, establish a content data session between the requesting terminal and the one or more destination terminals, designate an owner terminal and one or more participating terminals for the content data session from the requesting terminal and the destination terminals based on information in a terminal management database, and instruct transmission of sound permission instructions to the owner terminal and sound restriction instructions to the one or more participating terminals.
Abstract:
An information processing terminal includes: circuitry to receive from a management system via a network, a candidate identifier of each one of one or more candidate counterpart information processing terminals that are previously registered for the information processing terminal; and to determine, in response to acceptance of an identifier that has been input, whether the accepted identifier matches any one of the candidate identifiers being received. Based on a determination indicating that the accepted identifier matches any one of the candidate identifiers, the circuitry transmits to the management system first request information requesting to start communication with the candidate counterpart information processing terminal identified with the accepted identifier. Based on a determination indicating that the accepted identifier does not match any one of the candidate identifiers, transmit to the management system second request information requesting to start communication with a counterpart information processing terminal identified with the accepted identifier, the circuitry transmits the second request information including destination information that differs from destination information included in the first request information.
Abstract:
An information processing apparatus includes: a transmitter to transmit content data to one or more counterpart information processing apparatuses through a network to have a communication with the one or more counterpart information processing apparatuses, the content data being at least one of image data and audio data; a receiver to receive, from a first information processing apparatus of the one or more counterpart information processing apparatuses, a recording start notification indicating that the first counterpart information processing apparatus starts recording or is recording the content data that is transmitted from the information processing apparatus, the recording start notification being transmitted with first identification information of the first counterpart information processing apparatus that is recording; and circuitry to output, based on the recording start notification, notification information indicating that recording of the communication is being performed, in association with information regarding the first counterpart information processing apparatus.
Abstract:
A communication terminal determines whether counterpart information of a candidate counterpart communication terminal obtained from a memory is described in a first format or a second format, and transmits a communication start request to one of a first server and a second server based on a determination. When the determination indicates that the obtained counterpart information is described in the first format, the communication start request is transmitted to the first server on the first network. When the determination indicates that the obtained counterpart information is described in the second format, the communication start request is transmitted to the second server on the second network.
Abstract:
A communication system including: a first acquiring unit configured to obtain start request information for specifying whether participation in the session of a terminal is limited or not, and participation authentication information for authenticating participation in the session for the terminal; a session manager configured to establish the session; a second acquiring unit configured to obtain participation request information for requesting participation of a third terminal in the session, and the participation authentication information input from the third terminal; and a participation determination unit configured to compere the participation authentication obtained by the first acquiring unit and by the second acquiring unit, and determine whether participation of the third terminal in the session is allowed or not, and the participation determination unit configured to record terminal information of the third terminal, and to reject a subsequent participation request of the third terminal in the session thereafter.
Abstract:
A shared terminal, includes circuitry to control a display to display an image to a plurality of users, the plurality of users sharing a use of the shared terminal; and a network interface to communicate with a terminal management server and a destination management server through a network. The circuitry obtains, from a first privately-owned terminal owned by a first user, first terminal identification information for identifying the first privately-owned terminal. Under control of the circuitry, the network interface transmits the first terminal identification information to a terminal management server; receives first user identification information from a terminal management server; transmits the first user identification information to the destination management server; receives a first email address of the first user from the destination management server; and transmits an email whose sender email address is the first email address.
Abstract:
A transmission control system includes a transmission controller to control transmission of content data in a session for transmitting the content data between communications terminals. When the transmission controller controls the transmission not to transmit image data from the first terminal to the second terminal, but to transmit image data from the first terminal to the third terminal while transmitting image data from the second terminal to the first terminal, and transmitting image data from the third terminal to the first terminal, the transmission controller controls the transmission to transmit, based on a request transmitted from the second terminal, image data from the first terminal to the second terminal, but not to transmit image data from the first terminal to the third terminal while transmitting image data from the second terminal to the first terminal, and transmitting image data from the third terminal to the first terminal.
