    摘要: A database enables versioning for objects stored in the database via a “snapshot” operation. In one implementation, a device performs a snapshot operation in which a snapshot object, representing a logical view of database objects at a time at which the snapshot operation is performed, is created and stored in the database. In response to a request to store a modified version of a database object, the modified version of the database object is written to replace the previous version of the database object when the database object was last modified after the most recent snapshot operation. Further, in response to the request to store the modified version of the database object, the modified version of the database object is inserted in the database when the previous version of the database object was last modified before the most recent snapshot operation.

    摘要: The present invention discloses Virtual Card Mobile App (VCMA) as a medium for replacing real world commercial wallet cards. VCMA furnishes a consumer with a UVC service, which enables a consumer to easily obtain, manage and use Vendor Virtual Cards (VVC) that are offered by vendors. VCMA allows users to carry unlimited number of virtual cards from unlimited number of vendors. VCMA makes it much easier and more secure for a user to sign up, carry, manage and use a card. It also enables user to perform many functions, such as checking balances, checking rewards, searching specials, checking product info, ordering products, and making payments. User can not perform these functions using traditional physical cards. In the present invention, VCMA and virtual card services are managed by a central card management system (CCMS). CCMS also provides virtual card operation services to vendors, so that vendors can issue virtual cards, provide card services, and administer card services. Moreover, CCMS serves as a broker between a user and a vendor. Credential and private information, such as address, phone, age, password, pin and payment account number, are stored in CCMS, not with the vendor. When a transaction is performed, the credential information never goes through a vendor's equipment. Therefore, the system provides better security and privacy.

    摘要: This invention relates to a semiconductor device comprising at least one p-n junction. The junction is formed from a "p" semiconductor contacting an "n" semiconductor. Said device characterized in that at least one of said "p" or "n" semiconductor is a nanoporous crystalline semiconducting material. These nanoporous materials have an intracrystalline nanopore system whose pores are crystallographically regular and have an average pore diameter of about 2.5 to about 30 .ANG.. Additionally, they have a band gap of greater than 0 to about 5 eV which band gap can be modified by removing a portion of the templating agent from the pore system of the materials. The materials which have these properties include, metal polychalcogenide compounds, metal sulfides and selenides, metal oxides, and metal oxysulfides. These materials can be used in a large variety of semiconducting devices such as light emitting diodes, bipolar transistors, etc. A process for preparing these nanoporous materials is also presented.
