摘要: The nonaqueous solvent for a nonaqueous secondary battery of the present invention includes: a fluorinated cyclic carbonate having at least one fluorine in each designated location in the molecule; and a fluorinated phosphazene having at least one fluorine bound to a phosphorus atom in the phosphazene molecule and a ratio of the number of fluorine atoms to the number of phosphorus atoms being 4/3 or more. The fluorinated cyclic carbonate forms a good protective coat by reductive decomposition at a negative electrode, thereby improving cycle characteristics of the nonaqueous secondary battery. The fluorinated phosphazene suppresses generation of organic ions in the nonaqueous solvent, thereby reducing gas production in the nonaqueous secondary battery.

摘要: The nonaqueous solvent of the present invention for a nonaqueous secondary battery primarily contains a mixed solvent of a fluorinated cyclic carbonate having a structure in which one fluorine atom is bonded to each of two alkoxy group carbon atoms adjacent to carbonate oxygen atoms and a fluorinated acyclic carbonate having a similar structure. The fluorinated cyclic carbonate, in comparison with the unsubstituted cyclic carbonate, has not only an enhanced thermal stability but also a suppressed reactivity with the positive electrode in a charged state even at elevated temperatures. In addition, it forms a protective film which, with respect to a negative electrode in a charged state, suppresses reactivity between the negative electrode and the nonaqueous electrolyte solution. The fluorinated acyclic carbonate suppresses the reactivity with the positive electrode in a charged state and also lowers the viscosity of the nonaqueous electrolyte solution.

摘要: A door unit for selectively opening and closing an opening in an object includes a door having a bendable slatted door body and a flexible sheet member positioned over the door body. Guide grooves in the object slidably guide at least the door body, and the respective ends of the door body and the sheet member are connected on one end in the sliding direction. By setting an appropriate spacing between the guide grooves, the generation of noise that would otherwise be caused by the door body and the sheet member rubbing against each other when they are opened or closed, is avoided. The use of the separate sheet member also significantly increases the options for the material to be employed for the design surface of the door unit.

摘要: An apparatus configured to discriminate the genuineness of a certified paper by exposing the paper to a light source and transporting the paper through an environment of an alternating-current electromagnetic field. Light detectors detect the light reflected from the paper and the light emitted by a fluorescent ink on the paper and output a waveform corresponding to the intensity of the detected light, reflected light, and the detected emitted light as the paper is scanned. The resulting waveforms are used to discriminate the genuineness of the paper. The fluorescent light and reflected light can be optically split and directed to separate detecting devices. Furthermore, the alternating-current electromagnetic field can be controlled by a voltage controller and configured to be driven only when the sensor detects light from the fluorescent ink.

摘要: An image reading apparatus includes a linear sensor unit for reading the side shape of a document on a document platen and outputting the outcome of the reading as an image data and a detector for detecting a binder based on the presence of a space (a protrusion) in the image data inputted by the linear sensor unit. This apparatus infallibly judges that such an object as a binder, which is unnecessary for image reading, is present in the document.

摘要: A copying apparatus produces a composite copy from an original document having a plurality of sheets and a final sheet having a desired format or overlay. The original document and the final format sheet are placed together in the same sheet feeding device. The format sheet is the last sheet in the sheet feeding device. The original sheets are fed to a printing device having a single exposure section. Images on the original sheets are copied onto blank paper which is fed to the printing device from a first paper location. The copies of the original documents are then sent to a second or intermediate paper location. The final sheet having the desired overlay or format is then fed to the same exposure section of the printing device. The copies of the original documents which are stored in the second paper location are then fed to the printing device, and the image on the format sheet is copied onto the paper received from the second paper location. The finished composite copies are then exited from the copying apparatus. The finished composite copies include images from both the original sheets and the format sheet.

摘要: This invention relates to an image reader capable of reading document images in parallel with the measurement of the state of curvature of the document surface, and correcting image distortion caused by said curvature in real time. An illumination light source for reading documents is provided with a filter to separate infrared light and visible light. The visible light is used to read document image information, and the infrared light is used to measure the state of curvature of the document. Since document reading and document curvature measurement are accomplished using light having different characteristics, these operations can be accomplished simultaneously.
