    摘要: A hydraulically operated continuously variable transmission comprises a hydraulic pump and a hydraulic motor having a motor cylinder including an integral tubular member. A distribution disc is coupled to the motor cylinder at one end of the tubular portion and has oil passages communicating with the hydraulic pump and the hydraulic motor. A hollow fixed shaft is inserted in the tubular member, and a distribution ring is axially movably mounted on the fixed shaft and has an end face slidably held against the distribution disc. A mechanical seal assembly includes an annular rotatable seal member rotatably disposed in the tubular member, and an annular fixed seal member axially movably, but nonrotatably, mounted on the fixed shaft. A compression spring is disposed between the fixed seal member and the distribution ring and is resiliently extensible for applying a preload to abut an axial end face of the fixed seal member against an axial end face of the rotatable seal member and a preload to abut the end face of the distribution ring against the distribution disc.

    摘要: A hydraulically operated continuously variable automotive transmission includes a transmission ratio controlling member and a hydraulic actuator operatively coupled to the transmission ratio controlling member for continuously operating the transmission ratio controlling member to increase or reduce the transmission ratio of the continuously variable automotive transmission. A control valve is provided for applying a controlling hydraulic pressure to the hydraulic actuator dependent on the difference between a first control force commensurate with an indication of the automobile driver's intention of acceleration or deceleration and a second force commensurate with the engine rotational speed, in order to change the direction in which the hydraulic actuator is operated. The control valve includes, but is not limited to, a cylinder having two ports communicating with the hydraulic actuator, a port communicating with a source of hydraulic pressure, and a port communicating with an oil tank, a first spool slidably disposed in the cylinder and slidable dependent on the difference between the first and second control forces for selectively bringing the ports into and out of communication, a second spool slidably disposed in the first spool and movable in response to a control force commensurate with a control signal, and variable restrictions disposed between the first and second spools for varying the amount of controlling hydraulic pressure applied to the hydraulic actuator.

    摘要: A hydraulic continuously variable transmission for use on a vehicle comprises a hydraulic closed circuit, first and second pressure controlling means, brake operation detecting means and deceleration detecting means. The hydraulic closed circuit includes a hydraulic pump, a hydraulic motor, a first oil passage connecting a port of the hydraulic pump with a port of the hydraulic motor and a second oil passage connecting another port of the hydraulic pump with another port of the hydraulic motor, and first and second pressure controlling means control the pressures of the first and second oil passages, respectively. If the deceleration of the vehicle is greater than a standard deceleration when the operation of the brake is detected, then the pressure of the first or second oil passage whose pressure is higher than that of the other is lowered to a predetermined low pressure that is higher than the pressure of either oil passage which is lower by either the first or second pressure controlling means. This predetermined low pressure is determined in reverse proportion to the engine rotational speed, thus preventing the engine from stalling when the wheels are locked up in an abrupt braking operation.

    摘要: A hydraulically operated continuously variable transmission comprises a hydraulic motor coupled to an output shaft, a hydraulic pump coupled an input shaft, and a closed hydraulic circuit interconnecting the hydraulic motor and the hydraulic pump. The hydraulic motor has an annular array of slidable motor plungers disposed around an axis of rotation thereof and slidably disposed in respective cylinder holes defined in the motor cylinder. The hydraulic motor also has a distribution ring supported on the fixed shaft and rotatable relatively to and slidable against an end face of the motor cylinder for introducing high-pressure oil successively into the cylinder holes and discharging oil successively from the cylinder holes in response to rotation of the motor cylinder. The transmission also includes a hydraulic pump coupled to an input shaft, at least one of the hydraulic pump and the hydraulic motor being of the variable-displacement type, and a closed hydraulic circuit interconnecting the hydraulic pump and the hydraulic motor. The distribution ring is held in engagement with the fixed shaft for preventing the distribution ring from rotating with respect to the fixed shaft.

A rotational variation amount differential value-calculating module calculates a differential value of the variation amount of the rotational speed of the engine.     摘要: A relief pressure controlling device comprises a driving side relief pressure controlling valve, a capacity detector which detects the capacity of a hydraulic pump, and an engine throttle opening detector. When the hydraulic pump and the hydraulic motor which are connected by a first oil passage and a second oil passage constituting a hydraulic closed circuit are driven by an engine, the relief pressure controlling valve controls the relief pressure of the oil passage on the driving side that is either the first oil passage or the second oil passage whose pressure becomes higher than the other, to a target relief pressure. The target relief pressure is determined in correspondence with the engine output and corrected on the basis of the pump efficiency which is predetermined in relation to the capacity of the hydraulic pump and to the throttle opening, and this corrected target relief pressure is set as a driving side target relief pressure. The driving side relief pressure controlling valve performs a relief pressure control so that the relief pressure of the driving side oil passage will become the driving side target relief pressure, which is set in correspondence with the capacity of the hydraulic pump and the engine throttle opening.

    摘要: In order to achieve a gear ratio control of a continuously variable transmission, a transmission gear ratio is controlled based on a difference between an actual engine speed and a target engine speed to be set in response to a first parameter corresponding to an accelerator opening. When controlling the transmission gear ratio, a plurality of change characteristics of the transmission gear ratio are set for, in particular, the kickdown gear shifting.
