    摘要: A system for desalting a crude oil stream includes vessel that has an interior piping structure that releases wash water into a crude oil flow within the vessel. The piping structure, which may have more than one level, has a plurality of spray nozzles for dispersing or releasing the wash water into the flowing crude oil stream. The spray nozzles may be located on a same side or opposite sides of the piping structure. Where multiple levels are used, the number of spray nozzles on each level may be the same as or different than the number of spray nozzles on other levels. The pressure drop through each spray nozzle is preferably no greater than 300 psi and the nozzles preferably deliver a dilution water droplet preferably no larger than 300 microns in diameter. A mixing valve, static mixer, or both can be placed downstream of the vessel.

    摘要: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for treating fracking fluids are provided in which a dispersion system receives a portion of a body of fracking fluid collected in a well. The dispersion system may comprise a hydrodynamic mixing chamber and a nozzle. An additive comprising one or more of ozone and oxygen may be mixed with a portion of collected fluid passing through the mixing chamber. The nozzle may disperse a mixture of the collected fluid and additive received from the mixing chamber. The system may comprise a controller having at least one processor configured to monitor the level of the additive or a contaminant in the well. The processor may be configured to cause a portion of the fluid to be pumped from the well through an outflow main when the level of fluid in the well exceeds a threshold level.

    摘要: The control system and method of the present invention controls a solvent refining unit which treats charge oil with a solvent in a refining tower to yield raffinate and extract-mix, strippers separate the solvent from the raffinate and from the extract-mix to provide refined waxy oil and extract oil, respectively. The solvent is returned to the tower and the refined waxy oil is subsequently dewaxed to provide refined oil. The present invention includes a device which senses the flow rate of the charge oil and provides a corresponding charge oil flow rate signal. The flow rate of the charge oil is controlled in accordance with the charge oil flow rate signal and a control signal. The temperature of the extract oil is sensed and a corresponding temperature signal provided. The temperature signal is used in controlling the temperature of the extract oil in cooperation with a second control signal. A parameter related to the quality of the charge oil and the refined oil and the extract-mix is sensed and corresponding parameter signals provided. A computer provides the first control signal to control the charge oil flow rate and the second control signal to control the temperature in accordance with the sensed charge oil flow rate, the extract oil temperature and the sensed quality parameter signals to achieve an optimum charge oil flow rate-yield operating condition.

    摘要: A refining unit treats light sour charge oil with N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone solvent, hereafter referred to as MP, in a refining extractor to yield raffinate and extract mix. The MP is recovered from the raffinate and from the extract mix and returned to the refining extractor. A system controlling the refining unit includes a gravity analyzer, a sulfur analyzer and viscosity analyzers; all sampling the light sour charge oil and providing corresponding signals. Sensors sense the flow rates of the charge oil and the MP flowing into the extractor and the temperature of the extract mix and provide corresponding signals. One of the flow rates of its light sour charge oil and the MP flow rates is controlled in accordance with the signals from all the analyzers and all the sensors, while the other flow rate of the light sour charge oil and the MP flow rates is constant.
