摘要: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for separation of sulfurous material(s) from a multi-component feed stream. The systems and methods can comprise contacting the multi-component feed stream with a solvent in a contacting column so that at least a portion of the sulfurous material(s) is transferred from the multi-component feed stream to the solvent. A stream of a substantially purified gas can thus be provided along with a liquid stream comprising at least a majority of the sulfurous material. In particular, the solvent can comprise liquid carbon dioxide, which can be particularly beneficial for removing sulfurous materials from multi-component feed streams.

摘要: An integrated amine and redox gas treatment system is configured to treat an influent hydrocarbon containing stream. The system includes a reduction oxidation unit connected directly downstream of an amine unit. The amine unit is configured to separate the influent fluid stream into a first amine effluent stream including hydrocarbons and a second amine effluent stream including a connection pressure and comprising CO2. The reduction oxidation unit is configured to receive the second amine effluent stream from the amine unit and operate at the connection pressure while releasing a reduction oxidation effluent stream including purified CO2. The connection pressure includes a single pressure or a plurality of pressures at which both the amine unit and the reduction oxidation unit are configured to operate.

摘要: A device includes a desulfurization system which forms a hydrogen sulfide-containing acid gas; a system for extracting elemental sulfur and a hydrogen sulfide-containing tail gas as exhaust gas; a device for generating electricity and gypsum from the tail gas; and a gas line system for supplying acid gas from the desulfurization system to the system for extracting elemental sulfur and to the device for generating electricity and gypsum, and for supplying tail gas from the system for extracting elemental sulfur to the device for generating electricity and gypsum. The gas line system has a gas distributing apparatus which supplies acid gas solely to the system in a first position, supplies acid gas solely to the device in a second position, and supplies a first part of the acid gas to the system and a second part of the acid gas to the device in a distributing position.

摘要: The disclosure provides novel method for removal of H2S from natural gas or other fluid in an oil and gas production facility by the use of a loop line method whereby the fluid passes through a looped pipeline containing H2S scavenger thereby increasing the contact time of the H2S scavenger with the gas and thus increasing the efficiency of the removal of H2S from the gas. The loop line can be added to a facility with an existing H2S scavenger direct injection line and can also be a standalone H2S scavenger method.

摘要: A two or particularly three-phase process, and corresponding apparatus, desulfurizes sour hydrocarbon gas, e.g., natural gas, generally better than known, using a fixed-bed, two-phase processes in terms of the amount of H2S scavenged and the breakthrough time of H2S. The three-phase process is effective in scavenging H2S at ambient temperature and pressure, using a copper salt catalyst impregnated on alumina or other generally inert support, which is regenerable.

摘要: A process for removing hydrogen sulfide (H2S) from a H2S-containing gas composition includes charging a liquid to a reactor under continuous agitation and dispersing particles of a zinc-based zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF-8) in the liquid to form a ZIF-8 mixture. The method further includes introducing the H2S-containing gas composition to the reactor containing the ZIF-8 mixture under continuous agitation and passing the H2S-containing gas composition through the ZIF-8 mixture. In addition, the method includes adsorbing the H2S from the H2S-containing gas composition onto the ZIF-8 to remove the H2S from the H2S-containing gas composition and form a purified gas composition.

摘要: A treatment system for remediating some forms of sulfur, CO2, and other contaminants/impurities from a gas stream includes at least one of a process vessel and a treatment coil. Each of the vessel and treatment coil have internals, different in design from each other, which promote intimate mixing and extended contact time between a treatment composition and a gas being treated. The vessel, which additionally facilitates vapor/liquid separation, operates about one-half to two-thirds full of liquid treatment composition. In some embodiments, the treatment coil is a serpentine arrangement of piping, into which the atomized treatment composition is injected on a continuous basis.
