摘要: The present disclosure provides a method for separating soluble organic matter in petroleum coke, including: drying the petroleum coke to obtain pretreated petroleum coke; extracting the pretreated petroleum coke sequentially with petroleum ether, carbon disulfide, ethanol, acetone-carbon disulfide mixture and tetrahydrofuran to obtain an extract and the treated petroleum coke, wherein the extract includes soluble organic matter. The method provided by the present disclosure employs extractants with different polarities, i.e., petroleum ether, carbon disulfide, ethanol, acetone-carbon disulfide mixture and tetrahydrofuran, to extract petroleum coke sequentially, so as to detect the composition of the soluble organic matter in petroleum coke at the molecular level, realizing the separation of soluble organic matter in petroleum coke at the macro molecular level, as well as the determination of molecular structure of soluble organic matter in petroleum coke by modern detection processes.

摘要: A method and apparatus for extracting bitumen and other hydrocarbons from oil-wetted tar sands and converting it to useful petroleum products, the method comprising first mixing the tar sands material with a condensate consisting oil material and agitating the resulting slurry. After agitating the slurry it is passed through a dual-phase centrifuge and the bitumen and heavy end hydrocarbons are removed, while the light end hydrocarbons remain in the centrifuge cake. The centrifuge cake is heated as it passes through an indirect fired rotary thermal desorber and the hydrocarbon material evaporates are cooled in a quench tank to be collected in the quench supply and recovery tank. The process can also be applied to materials which have become contaminated by hydrocarbons, to extract and remove the hydrocarbons. Another embodiment of the process involves using the indirect fired rotary thermal desorber to treat either tar sands material or a centrifuge cake and quenching the hydrocarbon material evaporates within the quench tank to be collected in the quench supply and recovery tank.

摘要: The field of the invention is oil sands processing. A solvent treatment system and process for treating a bitumen-containing stream include contacting that stream with a solvent-containing stream to produce an in-line flow of solvent diluted material; supplying the solvent diluted material into a separation vessel with axi-symmetric phase and velocity distribution and/or particular mixing and conditioning features. The solvent addition, mixing and conditioning may be performed with particular Co V, Camp number, co-annular pipeline reactor, pipe wall contact of low viscosity fluid, flow diffusing and/or flow straightening. The processes enable improved performance of downstream unit operations such as separation of high diluted bitumen from solvent diluted tailings.
