Abstract:
A square edge recessed lug paver having recessed lugs that produce consistent joint size during installation without the use of additional pieces of equipment, while maintaining a square edge is described. The equipment and method to produce the square edge recessed lug paver is also described, where the recessed lug roller forms the recessed lugs of the square edge recessed lug pavers. The recessed lug roller includes at least one recessed portion and at least two compressing portions. The recessed lugs are formed on an uncut slug after extrusion of the slug.
Abstract:
A landscaping block having a block body with at least a first side surface, a second side surface, a third side surface and a fourth side surface, and opposed and substantially parallel top and bottom surfaces. The patio block having at least one spacer projection extending outwardly from each of the at least first, second, third and fourth side surfaces. The patio block having at least one spacer locator positioned along each one of the first, second, third and fourth side surfaces. The at least one spacer locator positioned along each side surface has a retaining surface shaped to receive a spacer projection, at least a portion of the retaining surface extending outwardly from the side surface.
Abstract:
An artificial flagstone for use in combination with other similar flagstones for covering a surface with a natural random look, the flagstone having a generally hexagonal body comprising a first, second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth consecutive vertices; a first pair of first and second sides extending radially from the first vertex; a second pair of third and fourth sides extending radially from the third vertex; a third pair of fifth and sixth sides extending radially from the fifth vertex; wherein the sides of at least one of the first, second and third pair of sides have at least one split deviation along their length and are respectively rotational images of each other, and the artificial flagstone has no rotational symmetry when rotated about a central axis.

Abstract:
A building unit system includes discrete, irregular, non-geometric units, including first units and second units having a different size and shape than the first units. The first units and second units mate with one another to form a continuous surface without overlap between units or large gaps between units, resulting in a natural, custom fitted appearance such that a regular geometric pattern is not readily apparent.
Abstract:
Generally L-shaped, square, rectangular, triangular, hexagonal, parallelogram and other-shaped paving stones with inter-fitting vertical spacers forming serpentine side contact surfaces that provide enhanced stone-to-stone interlocking in both water-permeable and water-impermeable paving installations.
Abstract:
A module for use in constructing a pathway for traffic comprises a base member having a perimeter edge. The base member defines a lateral groove disposed at the perimeter edge and a tongue structure disposed at the perimeter edge and shaped and dimensioned to be received in the lateral groove. The tongue structure comprises a plurality of tongue portions, and includes a first type of tongue portion and a second type of tongue portion disposed in alternating relation generally along the length of the tongue structure, to thereby define a throughpassage for receiving a securing rod therethrough. To form a pathway for traffic, the modules are placed in perimeter-edge to perimeter-edge relation one to the next, with the tongue structure of the modules inserted into the lateral groove of an adjacent module, and are secured together by the securing rod.
Abstract:
A three dimensional structural unit includes at least one face having a rotational tessellation. The at least one face has at least two irregular sides extending there from. At least one of the sides has connectors adapted to align adjacent units.
Abstract:
A precast concrete solid core paver block which has a first pair of flat parallel side walls and a second pair of transverse parallel side walls. One side has at least one block engaging projection in one or more portions thereof and spaced between a top and bottom surface of the paver block. The opposed side wall has a slot to receive in close sliding fit the at least one block engaging projection of an adjacent one of the paver blocks for side-by-side interengagement while permitting horizontal displacement of the adjacent paver block and the block engaging projection thereof while preventing vertical displacement thereof wherein a top face of the paver blocks lie in a substantially common planar surface. Spacers form open joints about each block in portions thereof to communicate with a support bed and form a permeable paved surface.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a paving stone having stone flanks which are oriented perpendicular to the laying plane, and wherein the paving stone has interlocking elements of a stone flank of an adjacent paving stone.
