    摘要： A pick mat connection system (10, 40) that enables components to be connectable horizontally, to adapt to varied work site sizes, or vertically, to adapt to varied weight demands. Employing anchor assemblies (10), comprising an anchor (12) and lock (14) structure, to permit multiple standardized mats (1) to be connected horizontally, both end to end, and side to side. Additionally, employing stack anchor assemblies (40), selectively vertically connectable by a lock or bolt assembly (50), which enables the layering of multiple mats (7), thereby increasing the effective mat thickness.

    摘要： An industrial mat that includes a core construction that provides strength and rigidity to the mat, with the core construction including plural layers or plies of components at least some of which are of wood or engineered wood; and a durable skin that surrounds and encapsulates at least the wood components of the mat or the entire core construction. The skin has a thickness sufficient to provide environmental resistance to the wood components or to the core construction to which it is applied. The skin also provides abrasion resistance to the boards and mat.

The support mat also includes least two protective edge members, each protective edge member having an inboard wide face, each of the at least two protective edge members positioned against one the wide faces of the support mat. At least two substantially rigid fasteners extend through and connect each of the protective edge members and adjacent wood members. The wood members, protective edge members, and fasteners define a substantially rigid support mat having a substantially planar wide face.
