    摘要： A roofing fastener has an anchor plate, a staple, and a hollow shank extending perpendicularly away from the anchor plate. The staple is insertable within the hollow shank, and one or more free ends of the staple is extendable from an opening in a free end of the hollow shank. The anchor plate has a raised bonding surface with adhesive and heat sinks dispersed thereabout. The anchor plate and hollow shank may be separable or a single connected structure. In operation, the roofing fastener is inserted within a substructure about the hollow shank, such that the anchor plate rests atop an upper surface of the substructure. The staple is then depressed within the hollow shank such that one or more free ends of the staple penetrate the substructure at an angle relative to the hollow shank. A single-ply membrane is welded to the anchor plate via the adhesive.

    摘要： A method and system of securing an object on a wall is disclosed. The method and system allows for easily hanging a plurality of different sized items, at a specific height. The method and system utilizes a wall mounted hanger that comprises a base with a pin extending outwardly and downwardly from the back, and a shelf or other object secured to the front. Further, the orthogonal distance from the base to the shelf determines the positions of the pin, and a user inserts the pins in the base based on this measured distance. Then, the user fully inserts the pins into the wall such that the base is flush against the wall. As downward force and force against the wall is increased, the base is forced more tightly against the wall, thereby negating any potential failure of the base attachment to the wall and also negating any wall damage.

Work hardening may be accomplished, for example, by heating and quenching the tang to increase both its hardness and its brittleness to a level that allows the tang to be broken off with an impact force but not when inserted into a friable substrate so that the holder retains greater functionality.

    摘要： A roof boundary connection uses a clip that eases installation of the clip to blocking members both in the field by a carpenter and at a factory by one such as a truss manufacturer. The clip is formed with two indexing tabs that are set against the blocking for correct spacing and alignment. In one form, the clip is attached to wood members with nails and to masonry with masonry screws. In one form, the clip employs nail prongs as integral connectors for attachment to blocking members, allowing truss manufacturers to install connectors on blocking members with the same hydraulic presses that are used to assemble trusses with nail prong plates.

    摘要： A clip for securing a board to a support member. The clip includes a body defining an aperture therethrough and a tab projecting from the body. The tab advantageously has a first position wherein the tab inner surface is disposed at a first angle to the body inner surface. In this embodiment the tab is elastically movable to a second position wherein the tab inner surface is disposed at a second angle to the body inner surface that is less than the first angle. In some embodiments the clip is adapted for use with boards having opposing, longitudinally extending protruding and inset sides. The clip is disposed over the protruding side and an elongated fastener is disposed through the clip and the protruding side and into the support member. The inset side of a second board adjacent the secured protruding side can be biased toward the support member by contact of that side with the clip tab. Also a system and method of using the clip to secure a board to a support member.
