Abstract:
An electric motor includes a rotor and a stator including a stator core and coils. The coils are defined by a winding wire including winding wire ends electrically contacted with a printed circuit board at an end surface through connectors. The connectors each include at least two insulation displacement contacts receiving a winding wire end of a stator winding. Each connector includes a single electrical connection to the printed circuit board. The connector includes a base body with an underside in contact with the printed circuit board. Each of the at least two insulation displacement contacts includes a clamping slot perpendicular to the underside of the base body. The clamping slots are defined by spaced legs extending from the base body, at least two of the spaced legs being resilient.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides for terminal block cover assemblies for electric generators, and related methods of fabrication and use. More particularly, the present disclosure provides for terminal block cover assemblies for generators for aircraft or the like, with the terminal block cover assemblies having electrical arcing mitigation features and structures, and related methods of fabrication and use. The terminal block cover assemblies of the present disclosure can be utilized to reduce electrical arcing events in environments where de-icing fluid is used in the engine cowl.
Abstract:
A resolver for an electric machine includes a resolver stator and a connection module. The resolver stator and the connection module are formed as a single piece. The connection module includes a first plugging portion, which has at least one first contact pin and at least one second contact pin, and a second plugging portion, which has at least one third contact pin. The first contact pin is electrically connected to the resolver stator, and the second contact pin is electrically connected to the third contact pin.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a connector. The connector includes a body, a wiring terminal, and a wire fixing component. The body has a terminal hole. The terminal hole has a first end and a second end. A wiring terminal is fitted in the terminal hole. The wire fixing component is detachably connected to the body and is located at the first end of the terminal hole. The wire fixing component has at least one wire passing groove. The at least one wire passing groove is aligned with the terminal hole along an axial direction of the terminal hole, and the wiring terminal abuts against the wire fixing component to prevent the wiring terminal from entering the at least one wire passing groove.
Abstract:
An electrical machine providing a stationary part, a turning part, at least one bearing and an earthing fibre brush. The electrical machine having a conductive sleeve with an annular base made of an electrically conductive material, the annular base being fixed to the turning part or to a turning race of the bearing, and a conductive coating based on chromium nitride covering at least partly a surface of the base (21) so that the free end of the fibres is in sliding contact against the coating based on chromium nitride.
Abstract:
An electrical terminal device adapted to mount to a structure, and including a electrically non-conductive substructure, an electrically non-conductive cover, a heat resistant shroud, and an electric terminal. The substructure is in contact with the structure. The cover is engaged to the substructure. The substructure and the cover define a chamber, and the substructure defines, at least in-part, a sealed passage in communication with the chamber. The heat resistant shroud substantially covers the cover. The cover is substantially located between the shroud and the substructure. The electric terminal is located in the chamber and is attached to the substructure.
Abstract:
A connection structure of terminals according to the present invention includes an elastically-deformable first connector, to which a motor wire is electrically connected, an elastically-deformable second connector, to which a driving circuit wire is electrically connected, and a conductive portion, which electrically connects the first connector with the second connector. The first connector and the second connector are joined to the respective end surfaces of the conductive portion. The first connector is elastically deformed to hold the motor wire with its own restoring force. The second connector is elastically deformed to hold the driving circuit wire with its own restoring force.
Abstract:
An electrical power assembly comprises a motor lead with individual metal sheathed conductors, a power cable with individual metal sheathed conductors and a splice connector for connecting each of the conductors. Each splice connector has a tubular metal fastener body with an upward facing shoulder at an upper end and a downward facing shoulder at a lower end. A metal nut assembly is fixed to one of the power cable conductors with a downward facing shoulder in metal-to-metal sealing engagement with the upward facing shoulder of the fastener body. A metal coupler fixed to one of the motor lead conductors with an upward facing shoulder in metal-to-metal sealing engagement with the downward facing shoulder of the fastener body. Contacts electrically connect one of the motor lead conductors to one of the power cable conductors within the fastener body. An elastomeric seal disposed between the nut assembly and the fastener body, has expansion relief voids operable to collapse and relieve stresses exerted by the seal when the seal undergoes thermal expansion.

Abstract:
A connector fitting structure enabling easy insertion is provided. The connector fitting structure includes a case provided with a plurality of holes, a male connector having connectors fitted into the plurality of holes, respectively, and sealing elements as sealing members interposed between the holes and the connectors, respectively. Connectors each have a tapered surface. The respective tapered surfaces are shifted in position such that a tapered surface comes into contact with a sealing element, and then another tapered surface comes into contact with a sealing element.
