摘要: A method, system and an apparatus to automatic lightning safety valve for water supply system are disclosed. An exemplary embodiment provides an apparatus of lightning protection. A sensor circuit of the apparatus receives a electromagnetic signal of an atmospheric electromagnetic field to generate a modified signal and to communicate the modified signal to a control circuit. A control circuit of the apparatus of the lightening circuit causes the valve to automatically close if the modified signal is greater than a specified value. The valve control device is communicatively coupled with the sensor circuit. The apparatus also includes a solenoid valve to stop the flow of a fluid into the structure by closing a fluid line.

摘要: A backpressure-protected valve suitable for subsea well treatment chemical injection applications includes an improved gate valve, a check valve and a pressure compensator responsive to ambient hydrostatic pressure. The check valve may comprise a poppet valve in a detachable outlet body. The pressure compensator comprises a free piston in a cylinder. The portion of the cylinder on one side of the piston is exposed to seawater whereas the portion of the cylinder on the opposing side of the piston is filled with a selected hydraulic fluid. In this way the valve actuator is not exposed to the corrosive and/or contaminating effects of seawater.

摘要: An automatic mist-sprayer system comprising a control unit having electronic circuitry adapted to activate the sprayer for a predetermined interval in response to a sensed ambient light condition of desired intensity and duration. The system desirably further includes an electrical power supply and a plurality of spaced-apart sprayer heads. A preferred utility for the system of the invention is spraying dilute solutions of insecticide or insect repellent during the periods of significant insect activity that typically occur around dusk and dawn. Manual overrides and a remote receiving unit are also disclosed for use of the system at times other than dusk and dawn.

摘要: A protective damper for controlling the flow of fluid through a ceiling diffuser has a frame defining an opening through which the fluid flows. A barrier has a closed position which prevents the flow of fluid through the opening and an open position which allows fluid flow through the opening. The barrier is restricted to linear movement between the open and closed positions. A spring is operably coupled with a shaft and exerts a bias on the shaft tending to rotate the shaft on its longitudinal axis in one direction. An actuator is operably coupled with the shaft and rotates the shaft about its longitudinal axis in the opposite direction when the actuator is energized. An elongated rigid element is pivotally coupled with the shaft and with the barrier, respectively. The rigid element is for pulling the barrier by the shaft into the closed position when the shaft is rotated in the one direction and for pushing the barrier into the open position when the shaft is rotated by the actuator in the opposite direction.

摘要: A sensor for measuring moisture changes in soil and having an electrically insulating cylindrical body along which bare electrical conductors are placed. A transmitter produces constant alternating current which is supplied to the sensor. The voltage which this current creates in the soil is detected by the electrical conductors on the sensor and is fed to a receiver. The receiver consists of electronic circuitry for determining the necessity for allowing irrigation to occur, and if so, switches on a solenoid controlling the water supply. When the sensor indicates sufficient irrigation has occurred, the electronic controls switch the irrigation off. A tube sensor comprising rigid metal tubes of equal length and secured by end members such that no two tubes touch is also provided, for example to measure moisture content changes of any granular material. A plurality of the tube sensors are connected in series with insulated electrically conducting cables to form a string of tube sensors, thereby providing a means to obtain an average moisture content of large surface areas or volumes of material.

摘要: Gas burner safety device for use with gas fired heating systems and water heaters to shut-off main gas valve controlled gas flow to the burner's main gas jet in the event that the main jet becomes partially submerged to at least a critical level in surrounding floodwater and unable to function normally, although the burner's pilot light remains lit and unimpeded resulting in generation of a erroneous thermocouple safety interlock signal for the main gas valve. The device prevents any massive injection of gas into the surrounding floodwater as gas bubbles which can float about and uncontrollably ignite, or release of gas into the circumjacent environment, thereby preventing an otherwise very dangerous situation where fire or explosion may occur which might result in extensive property damage, as well as personal injury or death.
