    摘要： A cutting and transport roller for material webs includes media outlet openings in its peripheral surface to which varying pressure can be applied to control the seating pattern of the material web on the peripheral surface of the roller. The roller has a system of pressure feed lines by which the media outlet openings are connected to means for supplying the media. The roller has at least one pressure reservoir that is a part of the pressure feed line system and that can be connected by a valve to at least one part of the media outlet openings.

    摘要： The invention relates to a method for cutting webs of material (12), which rest upon the peripheral surface of the cutting and feed roller (1) and to a cutting and feed roller (1). These webs of material are cut through by means of a cutting device that, when in its position of rest, is essentially located inside the lateral surface (2) of the cutting and feed roller (1). This cutting device comprises at least one blade (4) that, when cutting the web of material (12), passes through an opening (3) located inside the lateral surface (2) of the cutting and feed roller (1). The opening located inside the lateral surface (2) of the cutting and feed roller (1), through which the at least one blade (4) passes during the cutting process, is closed when a cutting process is not occurring.

Respectively one inner joint of a link of one of the two expanding grilles is arranged fixedly on a knife roller shaft and the respectively other inner joint of the other link is arranged for adjustment in the axial direction on or in the knife roll shaft.

By adjusting the positions of the anvil cylinder sections, slitting slots can be formed by machining only at the portions where slitting slots are necessitated.

    摘要： Apparatus for severing sections from a web of material advanced by a feed roller comprises helical cutting blades on cylinders interconnected by helical gears. The feed roller can be coupled to and uncoupled from a drive by a dog clutch and the cutting cylinders are positively connected to the drive. Means are provided for axially displacing one of the cutting cylinders when the feed roller is being uncoupled from the drive, whereby to separate the cutting blades, and for returning the cylinder to bring the blades back into cutting relationship when the feed roller is being coupled to the drive.

In the present invention, a process is introduced and claimed for controlling the seating pattern of a material web on the peripheral surface of a cutting- and transport roller (1). Said process can be implemented using the roller (1) in accordance with the invention.
