摘要: A high-moisture-permeability, microporous plastic film randomly having a lot of recesses having different opening diameters and depths, with clefts formed in the recesses, is produced by pressing a first pattern roll randomly having a lot of high-hardness, fine particles having sharp edges on a roll body surface to a flat-surface metal roll, to produce an anvil roll randomly having a lot of recesses on a metal roll surface; arranging a second pattern roll randomly having a lot of high-hardness, fine particles having sharp edges on a roll body surface oppositely to the anvil roll; and passing a plastic film through a gap between the second pattern roll and the anvil roll.

摘要: The present invention relates to a book binding device to perform a binding process comprising a coupling process in which two stacks of sheets, such as sheets or, paper, each with at least one sheet, are coupled to each other by tabs in the sheets, and a cutting process to produce the tabs along a respective tab edge of at least one of the two stacks to be coupled, to bind the sheets into a book along a spine side of the sheets, the device comprising: —two stack holders to each hold a stack of at least one sheet, —a cutting assembly to perform the process of cutting out sheet material to form the tabs, —a coupling assembly to couple the tabs of two respective stacks to produce the book, in which —the stack holders serve as positioners for the two stacks to keep the stacks properly oriented during the binding process at all times.

摘要: Dunnage making machine and method in which a web of paper is drawn across a forming bar with curved end sections to roll the edge portions of the paper, then drawn through a first throat section to urge the rolled edge portions toward each other and cause them to gather, and thereafter through a second throat section of lesser dimension than the first to gather the central portion of the paper and further gather the edge portions. The gathered paper is then pressed with a roller to crumple it, following which the crumpled paper is perforated along a serrated tear line.

摘要: Apparatus for perforating paper including a roll for holding a supply of paper to be perforated, and a roll for taking up paper from the supply roll. The apparatus moves the paper in a forward direction along a reach extending between the supply roll and the take-up roll at a selected speed so that a perforating roller between the supply roll and the take-up roll can perforate the paper in the reach from edge to edge. The perforating roller is rotated so that its teeth travel in the same direction as the paper at the location of engagement with the paper, but the perforating roller is rotated at a rate such that the speed of the teeth is less than the speed of the paper in the forward direction along the reach. Therefore, the paper moves forward relative the teeth after penetration of the paper so that the teeth form elongate openings extending rearwardly of their points of penetration, tearing away flaps of the paper to form the openings, which flaps remain connected to the paper at the rearward edge of the openings.

摘要: A perforating apparatus has a base having at least one counter component. The counter component has a length, LCC, and a nonlinear shape having a shape width, W. A support is operatively engaged with the base. A blade having a length, LB, is disposed on the support so as to cooperate in interacting relationship with the counter component. The blade has a plurality of teeth. A web material is perforated as it passes between the base and the support and the blade cooperates with the counter component. A driving means is associated with one of the support and the base to reciprocally shift the one of the support or the base for a distance, D, in a shifting direction. The distance, D, is at least the translational distance that one tooth travels to cover the shape width, W.

摘要: The present invention relates to self-adhesive labels, label sheet assemblies, and related methods. The label sheet assembly includes a release liner assembly having a detachable portion, and a label releasably coupled to the release liner assembly and overlying the detachable portion. Weakened separation lines, a U-shaped cut, and a transverse cut define the detachable portion. The detachable portion is configured to remain coupled to the label as the label is peeled from the release liner assembly in a first direction, and the detachable portion is configured to remain part of the release liner assembly and separate from the label as the label is peeled from the release liner assembly in a second direction.

摘要: A handle cutter assembly for making C-shaped handle cuts in cardboard boxed and the like. The cutter assembly has a body having an outer shell defining a blade cavity therein. The body has an upper end and a lower end. A lower aperture is positioned in the lower end. The body also has a blade slider mounted thereto and a grip portion is mounted to its upper end. A cutting blade is mounted within the blade cavity. The cutting blade is slidable by the blade slider between a retracted position substantially within the blade cavity and a cutting position. In the cutting position, the cutting blade extends below the lower end through the lower aperture. The cutting blade has a cutting edge extending away from the body which has a C-shaped cutting profile.
