    Abstract: A vehicle wheel is of a three-piece sandwich type and high in accuracy and rigidity and can be manufactured less expensively and more efficiently. The radially outer portions of the flanges of an inner rim part and an outer rim part, which constitute a rim assembly for supporting a tire, are located in contact with each other outside the peripheral edge of a disk in the radial direction thereof so that the portions constitute a butted part. The rim parts are clamped to each other by bolts and nuts in such a manner that the radially inner portions of the flanges pinch the flange of the disk on both the sides of the latter flange. The butted part is provided with a welding seal on the peripheral surfaces of the flanges of the rim parts.

    Abstract: A bicycle rim assembly includes a rim defining a central plane and comprising annular inner and outer walls. The outer wall includes first and second bead seats separated by a center well. First and second annular projections are spaced laterally from each other relative to the central plane and extend substantially radially outwardly from the outer wall. Each of the annular projections includes a radially outer face and a laterally inner face. Right and left covers are spaced from each other and are preferably coupled to the rim to cover at least a portion of the laterally inner face and the radially outer face of the first and second annular projections, respectively, and also the first and second bead seats, respectively. One or both of the right and left covers can be fiber reinforced. First and second pieces of tape can be overlapped and used to secure the covers to the rim.

    Abstract: A vehicle wheel with tire consisting of a rim and a pneumatic tire, in which an encircling disk-type ring which extends the clinch in the radial direction is arranged on the clinch that points toward the middle of the vehicle. A divided rim ring is movably arranged on the inner side of the clinch and has an inner diameter which is less than the apex of the standard shape of the rim. The free ends of the rim ring, in order to form a ring closed by positive connection in the circumferential direction, have cross-sectional forms which fit complementary to one another.
