Abstract:
1,084,460. Valves. DANFOSS A/S. July 1, 1966 [July 24, 1965], No. 29734/66. Heading F2V. An electromagnetically operated valve has a diaphragm 14 attached to the valve spindle 9 and the housing to define a dashpot chamber 15 which communicates with the inlet 17 via an axial bore 16 in the spindle and a radial orifice 18. A spring 11 biases the valve member 10 to a closed position. In an alternative embodiment, Fig. 2 (not shown), the spindle (9) and core (8) are separate and biased into engagement with each other by springs (21, 24). Axial bore (16 1 ) serves as the throttle in this case and the coil 7 may be energized by A.C. current. In either embodiment, the flow of gas through the valve may be reversed.
