摘要: A fuel injector includes a fuel nozzle configured to issue a spray of fuel from a fuel outlet in a downstream direction along an injection axis. The fuel nozzle defines a main flow passage therethrough. An injection fuel line is in fluid communication with the fuel nozzle to supply fuel to the fuel nozzle. A torch ignitor has a flame outlet opening into the main flow passage of the fuel nozzle for issuing flame into the main flow passage.

摘要: One embodiment relates to a burner, comprising a fuel pipe, a fuel nozzle, at least one ignition and/or heat source and a pipe which conducts an oxygen-containing gas and/or recirculated flue gas, wherein the at least one ignition and/or heat source is arranged in the burner interior and is in the form of or comprises an electric heating and/or ignition device via which, exclusively by conversion of electrical current into heat energy, the amount of heat energy required within the burner for the initiation and continuation of the initial pyrolysis and ignition is generated and/or provided in the burner interior. A stabilizing ring with toothed ring may be a constituent part of the electric heating and/or ignition device arranged in the mouth region of the fuel nozzle.

摘要: A pilot burner assembly for easy removal of a thermo-electric or other device is disclosed. In an illustrative embodiment, a burner tube, thermo-electric device, and/or spark source are retained in a desired position via a bracket and resilient clip. The bracket may include retention features built into the bracket to help aid in the positioning of the burner tube, thermo-electric device, and/or spark source. The burner tube, thermo-electric device and/or spark source may include retention features that are configured to engage corresponding retention features in the bracket, when desired. The resilient clip may bias the retention features of the burner tube, thermo-electric device and/or spark source against corresponding the retention features of the bracket. One or more of the burner tube, thermo-electric device and/or spark source may be removed from the bracket by overcoming the bias force provided by the resilient clip to disengage the retention features of the burner tube, thermo-electric device and/or spark source from the corresponding retention features of the bracket, and sliding the component out of the bracket.

摘要: An ignition system includes an electrical energy delivery device having a first electrode terminating at a first end portion and a second electrode positioned in the ignition system separately from the electrical energy delivery device. The second electrode terminates at a second end portion disposed a first distance from the first end portion to form an air gap therebetween. The air gap forms an area including the shortest distance between the first electrode and the second electrode.

摘要: A cooker for use by troops on deployment comprises a container 10 for cooking fat sitting upon a heating chamber 12. The heating chamber 12 has a back wall 14 formed with an aperture 16 to receive a burner and a front wall 18 formed with an exhaust port 20 communicating with a chimney 22. The heating chamber has side walls extending between its front and back walls 18 and 14. The container has a hinged lid 28 which folds to present a rack 30 for food frying baskets (not shown). The cooker is configured and arranged so that flame from the burner does not contact the container 10 and heat is diffused over the container 10, whereby cooking fat therein is not locally overheated.
