Abstract:
A measuring-transducer circuit arrangement suitable for two-line telemetering systems comprises a bridge circuit, a current regulator, a comparator circuit including a reference element and a reference-voltage resistor for controlling the regulator, and a measuring amplifier. The current regulator and the reference element are in series with a diagonal of the bridge circuit.
Abstract:
Apparatus for drawing in the stator winding of an electric motor wherein strands from two different coils are superposed in at least some of the stator grooves.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a gerotar type rotary piston machine. The casing has a main axis and the gerotor gear set includes an internally toothed ring member with the teeth thereof in the form of rollers and an externally toothed star member which is rotatable about its own axis and orbital about the casing main axis. A main drive shaft is rotatable about the casing axis and a universal type wobble shaft connects the main shaft to the gerotor star member. An insert member is disposed internally of the ring member which has recesses for receiving the rollers of the ring member. The star gear and the insert member have a combined thickness equal to the width of the ring gear. The star gear has a centrally disposed slot and the wobble shaft has a blade shaped portion disposed in the slot. The insert member has a central bore and the blade portion of the wobble shaft extends through the star gear into the central bore. The dimensions of the recesses of the insert member are selected that the axially parallel lines of contact between the rollers and the star gear lie within these recesses.
Abstract:
The invention relates to electrical apparatus of substantial size which includes an outer container and a unit insertable in the container which can be readily withdrawn for the purposes of repair or inspection. The insertable unit consists of an oil cooled lower part and an upper control part. The container has an internal shoulder which is engaged by the upper control part of the unit when the unit is inserted in the container. Struts are provided to serve as a support for the unit when it is withdrawn from the container. The oil cooled lower part includes two vertically extending plates disposed in parallel relation to each other and in spaced relation to the inner walls and floor of the casing. The plates have electrical components mounted on their mutually facing sides and the casing is filled with oil to completely immerse the lower part.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an oil pump assembly comprising a casing in which pumping elements are disposed and in which fluid intake and exhaust passages are formed. A bypass passage with valve means therein is between the intake and exhaust passages. An electromagnet is mounted in the casing and the armature thereof is associated with and operates the valve means. The electromagnet is controlled jointly with the motor which drives the pump assembly in a manner such that the valve means are closed when pump assembly is operating and open when the pump assembly is turned off. The opening of the valve means in this manner permits pressurized fluid to be bypassed to the intake passage such that the usual pressure regulating and cut-off valve connected to the exhaust or pressure outlet side will close instantaneously upon the motor being turned off by reason of the instantaneous reduction of pressure caused by the instantaneous bypassing of the pressurized fluid.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a plug assembly for a small refrigerating unit or the like which plug assembly is equipped with one or more PTC resistors. Thermally loaded, ceramic resistors such as PTC resistors are generally brittle and have the characteristics of a substantial temperature expansion coefficient while being relatively weak structurally. The plug assembly accommodates one or more PTC resistors with a resistor holding device in which resiliently biased electrical contacts hold the resistors firmly in fixed positions while permitting the resistors to expand freely upon being heated without incurring stresses which would cause breakage.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a valve for diving equipment which comprises a valve housing having a charging port, a bottle port and an outlet port. Reducing valve means and reserve valve means are provided in series in the main fluid flow path. The reserve valve means remains open until a pressure on the downstream side thereof has dropped to a point where air in the bottle is at a predetermined low pressure, at which time the reserve valve closes. The reserve valve has means associated therewith which are manually operable to open the reserve valve to allow the remaining contents of the bottle to be fully utilized.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a pressure regulating valve assembly for pumps. The assembly includes two relatively movable pistons with one being a setting piston acted upon by supply pressure and a rated spring and the other being a regulating piston which controls a return orifice and is acted upon by the supply pressure and a differential spring. The supply pressure for the regulating piston is delivered through a modulated restrictor passage with the pressure drop in the restrictor passage corresponding to the quantity of pressurized fluid delivered therethrough. The regulating piston is hydraulically loaded by only a differential pressure which provides a greater ease in movement and allows a relatively weak differential spring to be utilized.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a heating valve assembly in which a valve casing is positioned behind a convector housing and a thermostatic member is positioned in front of the convector housing. The thermostatic member carries a rotatable setting nob and has a short radially resilient base which can be snapped onto the neck of the valve casing which casing surrounds a valve spindle which is controllable by the setting knob.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a valve arrangement for hydraulic steering systems in which the two pipes supplying a working motor are connected to a control means and to each other by way of a manually operable short-circuiting valve and two suction nonreturn valves which act in opposite directions to each other and between which a compensating pipe branches off.
