Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method for improving performance of a hypervisor in a memory disaggregation environment. The method includes allocating memory pages to a virtual machine in preset units, comparing the address range of the page frame to be returned with a preset page size, and removing an address space mapping for the page frame to be returned depending on a result of comparison with the preset page size. Removing the address space mapping comprises removing the address space mapping on the basis of contiguous page frames when the range of the page frame to be returned is equal to or greater than the preset page size.

Abstract: A system for removing a thrombus in a blood vessel, includes: a main body part which is movable along the blood vessel and performs a revascularization function within the blood vessel during installation, and sucks and transfers the thrombus during aspiration; a microflow circuit part which is attached to the outer surface of the main body part and extends to the exterior of the body, creates a microflow circuit which acts on the thrombus to move, deform, and fragment the thrombus; and an aspiration part which is provided to the exterior of the body from the inside of the blood vessel, and which during aspiration, after blocking blood flow in the blood vessel, aspirates the thrombus which has been moved, deformed and fragmented by the microflow circuit part and transferred by the main body part and discharges the thrombus to the outside of the body.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are a video decoding method and apparatus and a video encoding method and apparatus. Encoding and decoding of a target block are performed using intra-prediction. The intra-prediction is intra-prediction that uses bidirectional intra-prediction and a remaining mode. In bidirectional intra-prediction, a prediction value for a target pixel in the target block is determined based on reference pixels in two directions of bidirectional intra-prediction. In intra-prediction using a remaining mode, the remaining mode indicates remaining intra-prediction modes other than MPMs present in an MPM list.

Abstract: Proposed are a contact pheromone-containing composition, a kit composition, and a method using the same for controlling thrips. A thrip control technology using a behavior-disrupting pheromone is provided to increase opportunities for the exposure of the thrips to pesticides. Contact pheromone (7MT) induced significant behavioral changes in adult thrips. Moreover, the addition of the contact pheromone increased an insecticidal effect. The composition contains the contact pheromone as an active ingredient, and the kit composition contains the contact pheromone of the thrips and pesticides against the thrips. The contact pheromone-containing composition shows a significant control effect on thrips. The kit composition and method, which use a contact pheromone and pesticide together, show a significantly increased control effect compared to the thrips control technologies that only apply existing pesticides.

Abstract: Provided is a genome editing composition for prime editing including a prime editor protein and a prime editing guide RNA, for editing a Z-type mutation of alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency. The composition according to an aspect includes both a pegRNA sequence capable of effectively editing the SERPINA1 gene and prime editor 2 (PE 2), and thus, may effectively deliver the prime editor to a cell, and act specifically for a target sequence of the SERPINA1 gene, enabling genome editing with high accuracy, and therefore, may be useful as a SERPINA1 gene editing platform. In addition, the composition is capable of correcting the Z-type mutation of the SERPINA1 gene, and may be used for treatment or prevention of alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency.

A neural network-based audio encoder design method includes generating a quantized latent vector and a reconstructed signal corresponding to an input signal by using a white noise modeling-based quantization process, computing a total loss for training a neural network-based audio codec, based on the input signal, the reconstruction signal, and the quantized latent vector, training the neural network-based audio codec by using the total loss, and validating the trained neural network-based audio codec to select the best neural network-based audio codec.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a skin chip according to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure may include: a step of forming first and second PDMS layers disposed on both surfaces of a porous membrane and each having a microfluidic channel through which a culture medium is transferred to both surfaces of the porous membrane; a step of forming first and second MEA substrate layers disposed on the outer surfaces of the first and second PDMS layers, respectively, and having metal electrodes for measurement of TEER arranged at positions corresponding to the channels; and a step of forming first and second PMMA layers disposed on the outer surfaces of the first and second MEA substrate layers, respectively. In the method for manufacturing a skin chip according to in an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, the porous membrane may be made of a polycarbonate having pores of a predetermined size.
