Abstract:
A method and apparatus for stitching a plurality of images. The method includes capturing a first image and a second image; variably setting a position and size of a template for image stitching with respect to the captured first image or the captured second image, and determining stitch positions of the first image and the second image, based on the template that is variably set. In addition, the method includes stitching the first image and the second image, based on the determined stitch positions.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a recording medium reproducing method comprising the steps of: irradiating light onto a recording medium, the recording medium including a data image and a reference pattern, the reference pattern being divided by a plurality of fractional regions, the fractional regions being in invert, rotational and symmetrical relationship; determining information associated to data-image distortion based on the reference pattern; and correcting position of the data image based on the information relating to data-image distortion.

Abstract:
An organic light emitting display and a method for driving the same is disclosed. A pixel portion includes a plurality of pixels, which receive a plurality of scan signals, a plurality of emission control signals, and a plurality of data signals to display images. A data driver for generating and transferring the plurality of data signals to the pixel portion using video data. A scan driver transfers the plurality of scan signals and the plurality of emission control signals to the pixel portion. An optical sensor controls luminance of the pixel portion according to peripheral (or ambient) light. A current controller limits an electric current flowing through the pixel portion according to a sum of the video data input during a frame when the peripheral light sensed by the optical sensor has luminance equal to or greater than a predetermined value in order to control the luminance.
Abstract:
A modular peptide design strategy wherein the modular peptide has two functional units separated by a spacer portion is disclosed. More particularly, the design strategy combines a hydroxyapatite-binding portion and a biomolecule-derived portion. The modular peptides have improved non-covalent binding to the surface of the HA-based materials, and are capable of initiating osteogenesis, angiogenesis, and/or osteogenic differentiation.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system and method for compensating for anode gain non-uniformity in a Multi-anode Position Sensitive Photomultiplier Tube (PS-PMT), in which a compensation unit is disposed between the multi-anode position sensitive photomultiplier tube and a position detection circuit unit and configured to uniform a current signal inputted to the position detection circuit unit, thereby compensating for anode gain non-uniformity. In accordance with the present invention, the compensation unit for changing resistance is used. Accordingly, there is an advantage in that the gain non-uniformity of each of the anodes of the PS-PMT can be compensated for. Furthermore, the gain non-uniformity of each of the anodes of the PS-PMT is compensated for by changing resistance values of the variable resistances of the compensation unit. Accordingly, there is an advantage in that the interaction positions of gamma rays can be calculated more precisely.
Abstract:
Provided is a central management computing system. The central management computing system includes a plurality of terminals, and a rack system. The rack system is connected to the plurality of terminals. The rack system includes a rack power supply unit, a plurality of computers, and a switch. The rack power supply unit is mounted in a rack and converts an AC power into a plurality of DC powers to output to a plurality of DC output ports. The plurality of computers are mounted in the rack and receive the DC powers from the DC output ports. The switch is mounted in the rack and dynamically connects the computers to the terminals, respectively.
Abstract:
A hybrid hard disk drive includes a hard disk drive controller to receive a plurality of write commands from a host, a buffer to receive and store write data, which are input through the hard disk drive controller and correspond to each of the plurality of write commands, a command history tracker to receive the plurality of write commands and analyze a pattern of the plurality of write commands, and a CPU to control storage of the write data, which correspond to each of the plurality of write commands, on a disk or in a flash memory device based on the analysis result by the command history tracker. The drive may determine whether to store write data on the disk or in the flash memory device without operation system support.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for preventing a collision between a recording medium and a lens are disclosed. The method for preventing the collision between the recording medium and the lens includes controlling a gap error signal (GES) between the recording medium and the lens to be maintained at a near field level, detecting a collision between the recording medium and the lens, pulling out the lens from the recording medium during a predetermined time so as to prevent a re-collision between the recording medium and the lens, and re-controlling the gap error signal (GES) between the recording medium and the lens to be re-maintained at the near field level.
Abstract:
A developer of an image-forming apparatus includes a photoconductor, a housing comprising a waste toner container in which waste toner removed from the photoconductor is contained, and a recessed portion depressed downwardly in a center portion of an upper wall of the waste toner container, the center portion corresponding to a center portion of the photoconductor in a lengthwise direction to move toner away from the center portion.
