Abstract:
A process for processing a silver halide color photographic material is disclosed. The process particularly relates to bleaching and fixing of a color developed silver halide color photographic material. The color developed material is processed with an acid bleaching solution containing a ferric salt, inorganic salt and a halide. Immediately after the bleaching step, the photographic material is processed with the fixing solution containing 5 g/l to 50 g/l of polycarboxylic acids. By utilizing the bleaching and fixing steps disclosed it is possible to process a silver halide color photographic material rapidly utilizing a reduced number of baths, obtain an excellent bleaching rate and produce an image having excellent stability.
Abstract:
The Gramophone record cleaner proposed is of the roller type having a sticky surface formed of a rubbery organopolysiloxane elastomer having a relatively low hardness and adapted to pick up dirt or dust and other contaminants from within the grooves of a record as the roller is passed over the record surface. The roller-type cleaners are superior in their easy performance of complete dirt removal in repeated operations, since the sticky surface of the roller once choked with contaminants can be cleaned simply by rinsing with water.
Abstract:
A fixing roll for electrophotography having a surface layer of a cured room-temperature-vulcanizing silicone rubber composition comprising a mixture consisting of two diorganopolysiloxanes, one of which is terminated at the chain ends with silanol groups and has a relatively high viscosity, and the other of which is terminated at the chain ends with trialkyl silyl groups and has a relatively low viscosity, an alkoxysilane or a partial hydrolysis-condensate thereof as the crosslinking agent, a metal salt of an organic acid as the reaction catalyst, and three kinds of inorganic fillers, namely, calcium carbonate, iron oxide, and titanium dioxide, and containing substantially no siliceous fillers. The fixing rolls have excellent properties including, in particular, the ability to provide a long copy-life to electrophotographic copying machines.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a steam turbine rotor which includes an ultra-high temperature side portion in which ultra-high temperature steam flows and a high temperature side portion in which high temperature steam flows, the manufacturing method including the steps of: preparing a first electrode having a chemical composition corresponding to a chemical composition of a heat resistant alloy making up the ultra-high temperature side portion and a second electrode having a chemical composition corresponding to a chemical composition of the high temperature side portion; tentatively joining together joints of the electrodes, with the joints of the electrodes made smaller in cross sectional area than other electrode portions; subjecting the tentatively joined first and second electrodes to an ESR process to obtain an ESR ingot and forging the ingot into a shape of a rotor to obtain a rotor forging; and heat-treating the rotor forging to obtain a rotor blank and manufacturing the steam turbine rotor from the rotor blank.

Abstract:
An optical reflection sensor emits light and its reflection from a target object is received. A signal processor carries out a measurement on the received reflected light such as the distance to the target object each time the reflected light is received. Repeatability of measured values is calculated and displayed on a display device incorporated into the housing of the sensor. The display device may have two display areas such that the calculated repeatability and the measured value can be displayed simultaneously. The calculated repeatability may be compared with a specified threshold value, with the result of the comparison displayed. The housing may also incorporate an input device through which a required level of accuracy may be set.
Abstract:
A part feeding device capable of preventing the adhesive surface of a top tape from being exposed even if a pleat line is displaced and easily and collectively removing the top tape collected by winding on a reel body and a part feeding method, the device comprising a top tape transfer part (1) having raising rollers (6) raising the top tape (104) a specified amount by generally 90° with the adhesive surfaces thereof at both ends facing inside, a folding rollers (5) folding the raised top tape by falling on the unraised top tape, and a tape delivery part (18) feeding the folded top tape at a specified pitch, wherein the reel body collecting the peeled top tape can collectively push out the group of the wound top tape in the axial direction.
Abstract:
A sensor system includes a plurality of sensor bodies arranged aligned and adjacent to each other, each of said sensor bodies being connected to an electric cord including at least a signal line via a connector. Each connector has a power feed terminal, and a detachable fitting for electrically connecting the power feed terminals of the connectors is provided between the connectors. The power supplied to the connector of any of the sensor body through the power feed line in the electric cord is distributed to the power feed terminal of another sensor body through a row of connectors. By this configuration, the number of power feed lines for the overall system can be significantly reduced, and common bodies not distinguished for the main and sub bodies can be used as the sensor bodies, whereby the cost can be reduced and inventory management can be facilitated. Further, when any of the sensor bodies fails, it is possible to simply exchange the failed sensor body only, while maintaining the use of the electric cord that has been used.
Abstract:
An apparatus is provided with a component feeding member for feeding electronic components having lead wires in a tape-bonded state, an insertion head for separating the electronic components fed from the feeding member from the tapes and inserting to holes of a board, and a fixing head facing the insertion head via the board for cutting and folding the lead wires of the inserted electronic component in the board thereby fixing the electronic component to the board. AC servo motors operating independently of each other are individually set in the insertion head and the fixing head, which are controlled by a device so as to be synchronous with each other.
