The valve assembly has a flow adjuster connectable to the valve sleeve, and is selectively arranged to align an opening with the fluid channel and allow fluid to flow from the fluid channel through the opening to the injection port, wherein connecting the flow adjuster to the valve sleeve defines a flow length of the fluid channel to adjust the fluid restriction created by the fluid channel.

摘要: A wellbore material transfer system is disclosed, and comprises a downhole fluid conductor defining a downhole-conducting fluid passage, an uphole fluid conductor defining an uphole-conducting fluid passage, a flow controller for opening and closing the uphole-conducting fluid passage, and a completion disposed within a wellbore and defining a wellbore interval between the completion and the wellbore, the completion including selectively openable first and second flow communicators. While the flow communicators are open and the uphole-conducting fluid passage is closed, a subterranean formation zone may be fractured, and flow communication is absent, via the second flow communicator and the uphole-conducting fluid passage, between the wellbore interval and the surface. While the flow communicators and the uphole-conducting fluid passage are open, the wellbore interval may be gravel packed, and a solids-depleted fluid is conductible, via the second flow communicator and the uphole-conducting fluid passage, from the wellbore interval to the surface.

摘要: A downhole component for integration in wellbore string is provided. The downhole component includes fluid conduits enabling fluid flow therethrough and a sealing element connected to the fluid conduits and operable between a disengaged configuration, where the sealing element is disengaged from an inner surface of the wellbore, and an engaged configuration. The downhole component also includes an actuation assembly having a blocking member releasably secured to the fluid conduits and a fluid-pressure operable actuation member slidably connected to the fluid conduits adapted to engage and operate the sealing element from the disengaged configuration to the engaged configuration. The downhole component has a release mechanism operable to release the blocking member to enable the sealing element to revert to the disengaged configuration, wherein the release mechanism is adapted to be selectively and independently operated relative to additional release mechanisms associated with adjacent downhole components along the wellbore string.

摘要: A valve assembly for disposition within a subterranean reservoir is provided. The valve assembly includes a valve housing defining a fluid passage, and a housing outlet for establishing fluid communication between the fluid passage and the reservoir. The valve assembly further includes a valve sleeve displaceable between closed and open positions for controlling fluid communication between the fluid passage and the reservoir. The valve assembly also includes a hydraulic actuator operable to displace the valve sleeve, the hydraulic actuator including a hydraulic fluid container and a pump. A pressure-compensating system is operatively connected to the hydraulic actuator, and includes a tubing-pressure compensator configured to adjust a fluid pressure within the fluid passage relative to a fluid pressure of the hydraulic fluid container; and a reservoir-pressure compensator configured to adjust a fluid pressure of the reservoir surrounding the valve assembly relative to a fluid pressure of the hydraulic fluid container.

摘要: Oil recovery can include providing a tubing string and isolation devices to define isolated intervals for an existing well previously operated using plug-and-perf and primary production. Valve assemblies are installed in respective isolated intervals, each valve assembly including at least two valves. The valve can be operated in open and closed configurations, and at least one open configuration provides choked flow via an elongated passage. The valves can have a housing and a shiftable sleeve. The valve assemblies can be operated to provide a desired openness based on the injectivity or other properties by shifting the sleeves of the valves. Different flow resistance levels can be provided to facilitate enhanced operations for water flooding and other oil recovery processes.
