    摘要: A sand collector includes a housing and an insert. The insert has a sleeve concentrically disposed in the housing to form an annulus. An upper end of the sleeve is connected to an upper end of the housing so an upper end of the annulus is closed. A lower end of the sleeve is closed to form a collection chamber, and a lower end of the sleeve is spaced from the lower end of the housing so a gap is formed between the lower end of the sleeve and the lower end of the housing. The sleeve has at least one flow port adjacent the upper end thereof to permit the flow of fluid up through the annulus and the sleeve when fluid is flowing upward and to collect sand and other solids in the collection chamber when fluid is flowing downward.

A well string may comprise a plurality of well screen joints which are assembled for receipt of a well fluid from a desired well zone along a wellbore. The well screen joints are constructed and assembled in a manner which also creates a flow path to a common inflow area. At this common inflow area, the well fluid may be directed through a port or ports into an interior production passage of the well string for production to a desired collection area. The port or ports at the common inflow area may be selectively closed to block inflow of fluid from the plurality of well screen joints.

The inflow control device includes a base pipe defining one or more first flow ports and one or more second flow ports axially spaced from the first flow ports. A first flow regulation device is arranged within the base pipe and actuatable to expose or occlude the first flow ports, and a second flow regulation device is arranged within the base pipe and actuatable to expose or occlude the second flow ports. A downhole shifting device is operable to independently manipulate a position of the first and second flow regulation devices and thereby selectively expose or occlude the first or second flow ports.

    摘要: A technique facilitates dehydration of gravel slurry around blank pipe sections of a completion having filters for receiving carrier fluid returns. A sand screen filter system may be assembled with a first filter, a second filter, and a blank pipe section extending between the first filter and the second filter. A fixed leak off tube is mounted to the sand screen filter system such that at least a portion of the fixed leak off tube overlaps the first filter. Additionally, a slidable leak off tube is slidably mounted to the sand screen filter system. The slidable leak off tube is oriented to enable the slidable leak off tube to be slid along the blank pipe section until secured in fluid communication with the fixed leak off tube.

The deployment assembly facilitates rotation of the liner assembly and circulation through the liner assembly while running the liner assembly into a wellbore using a work string. The deployment assembly includes a crossover tool that is operated to facilitate gravel packing without manipulation of the work string. The deployment assembly also includes a setting tool for setting a packer and/or a sand barrier at the top of the liner assembly.
