摘要： A conveying apparatus, particular for use in conveying large products such as engines around a production line, comprises a pallet which is driven with respect to a pair of guide rails. Power supply rails are provided on guide rails and power is drawn from these as the pallet moves to continuously power the pallet without requiring any on board power supply. Coding means are provided at particular spaced locations with respect to the rails and means are provided on the underside of the pallet to detect the code and so signals to a control unit which identifies the location of the pallet or acts upon the code to move the pallet in a particular predetermined manner. An electronic tag is uniquely associated with a product to be carried by the pallet and data from this is downloaded to the pallet where it can be subsequently downloaded to a work station as the pallet passed the work station to instruct the work station as to the operation to be performed on the product. Bi-directional communication may be achieved.

摘要： A system for deploying and recovering a cover over a space, like a swimming pool, has a reel housing that has extensions and a base that may be used to securely mount the reel housing in a receptacle, like a recess box. The extensions and the base may brace the reel housing which is made of inelastic or non deformable material which may be thick metal. The ropes are shortened in length so that there is no excess when the cover is in its fully open position. The ropes are selected to be inelastically deformable. A motor drives the rope reels in the reel housing and the drum for the cover. The clutch, that alternately engages the rope reels and the drum has a non sacrificial pin to ensure that the clutch and the reels or the drum remain driven and engaged.

摘要： The present invention relates in general to optical scanning and image processing, and relates more particularly to a document imaging system which detects skew and/or detects size/shape of a document image. Preferred embodiments utilize a background with optical characteristics which contrast with those of the scanned document. In one embodiment, a document imaging system generates scanning signals in response to optical characteristics of a medium such as a sheet of paper, detects transitions in the scanning signal which define points along one or more edges of the medium, establishes a skew angle between the detected edges and a reference orientation, and compensates for skew by modifying the scanning signals as required such that the resultant skew angle is substantially equal to zero. In another embodiment, a document imaging system detects one or more edges of a document, defines a polygon having sides substantially congruent with the detected edges, and establishes the size of the document in response to the polygon.

The phone call request may then be re-routed through the telephone network to the second phone being called and communication may occur between the two phones through the intermediary device. Trusted and restricted communication may thus occur between parents/grandparents and children.

摘要： A telephoto lens sighting apparatus. A mount couples to a hot shoe of a camera and a first sight couples to the mount. The first sight has a first gap that corresponds with a viewing aperture of a telephoto lens coupled to the camera. A second sight may be movably coupled to the camera through a sliding track and may thereby move with respect to the first sight. The second sight has a second gap, and the first gap and second gap when aligned correspond with a viewing aperture of a telephoto lens coupled to the camera. A first receiver may couple to the camera to selectively receive the first sight and a second receiver may couple to the camera to selectively receive the second sight. The first sight and second sight may each pivot to a plurality of positions and their heights may be adjusted.

The shoulder belt support is moveable between a raised orientation and a lowered orientation by varying tension in the shoulder belt.
