Abstract:
A method for synchronizing the reproduction of a digital signal sent by a transmitter to a plurality of mobile audio terminals. The transmitter sends the digital signal as a multiplicity of data packets at a data rate that is constant as an average over time. A signal receiver of each mobile audio terminal receives at least a subset of the multiplicity of data packets and generates a time reference signal. A FIFO signal with information on an occupancy level of a FIFO memory of the mobile audio terminal at specific time points is generated, an instantaneous reproduction speed is set on the basis of the time reference signal and the FIFO signal, the audio reproduction unit reproduces at the instantaneous reproduction speed samples corresponding to the digital signal. The occupancy level of the FIFO memory is thereby kept constant as an average over time.
Abstract:
An apparatus for drying a hearing aid and a hearing aid and a system formed by a hearing aid and a charging device. The apparatus has an energy storage device in the hearing aid, an energy transfer unit and a charging controller. The charging controller charges the energy storage device with energy taken in from the energy transfer unit. The apparatus furthermore has a temperature sensor in the hearing aid and the charging controller is designed to control a charging process in such a way that a thermal loss in the apparatus produces a predefinable temperature pattern in the hearing aid.

A standard earpiece which is insertable in an ear canal in a direction of insertion has a corresponding retaining cap. The retaining cap is configured in such a way, in this case, that it equally satisfies the requirements for wearing comfort, a secure seating of the standard earpiece, and proper ventilation of the ear.
Abstract:
A method performs signal processing in a binaural hearing device that has first and second hearing aids with first and second microphones producing first and second signals and with first and second sound generators. The first and second signals ascertain a direction of a main sound source. A deviation in the direction from a frontal direction prompts the hearing aid that is closer to the main sound source to be defined as the local hearing aid and the hearing aid that is more remote from the main sound source to be a remote hearing aid. The local hearing aid, in one frequency band, filters the first signal using an angle-dependent first filter factor, and thus produces a first filtered signal. The first signal, the second signal and/or the direction of the main sound source is used for determining an adaptation coefficient, a first adapted signal and a local directional characteristic.
Abstract:
A method for reducing the latency period of a filter bank for filtering an audio signal. A large number of signal blocks in the time domain are formed from the audio signal, wherein for at least a plurality of the signal blocks in each instance a filter function is predetermined, at least one partial interval of the signal block is predetermined as a prediction period, signal components of the signal block in the at least one partial interval are estimated for the prediction period, and a predicted signal block is generated from the signal components estimated for the prediction period and from the signal components of the signal block outside the prediction period. The predicted signal block, filtered with the predetermined filter function, is transformed into the frequency domain to form a transformed signal block. Signal components of the transformed signal block are output for further processing.

The power supply unit includes a rechargeable power supply and an actuating and control device. The hearing instrument further includes a switching device that is configured to assume at least two switching states, and the actuating and control device is configured to actuate a switched-off state of the hearing instrument depending on the switching state of the switching device. There is also described a corresponding power supply unit for a hearing instrument.
Abstract:
A hearing aid system contains a hearing aid having with an acoustoelectric input transducer for recording a sound signal and converting the latter into an electrical input signal, a signal processing unit, connected to the input transducer, for processing the input signal, and an electro acoustic output transducer, connected to the signal processing unit, for converting the processed input signal into an acoustic output signal. A sensor is provided for capturing a measurement value of a biological measured variable and for outputting electrical information signal carrying information about the measurement value. The signal processing unit used to process the input signal is also signal-connected to the sensor and additionally configured and embodied to process the information signal. Furthermore, a method for establishing biological data of a hearing aid wearer by a corresponding hearing aid system is possible.
Abstract:
A method of operation saves energy during the operation of a binaural hearing system having a left-hand hearing device and a right-hand hearing device. The method includes providing a left-hand internal input signal in the left-hand hearing device and a right-hand internal input signal in the right-hand hearing device. A sending mode of the left-hand hearing device and/or right-hand hearing device is activated and/or deactivated. The sending mode is therein activated in one of the hearing devices automatically in dependence on the respective internal input signal and the sending mode is deactivated in one of the hearing devices automatically in dependence on the respective internal input signal and of a communication signal received from the respective other hearing device.
Abstract:
A hearing aid includes a hearing aid housing and an antenna device constructed to receive and/or transmit electromagnetic waves having a predetermined wavelength lambda. The antenna device has a frame incorporated in the hearing aid housing for holding assemblies of the hearing aid and the frame has an electrically conductive structure being an integral part of the frame. A method for producing a hearing aid includes patterning a surface of the frame, applying an electrically conductive layer to the surface of the frame and incorporating the frame into the hearing aid housing.
Abstract:
A hearing aid system is enabled for binaural microphone adjustment by way of the wearer's own voice. The hearing aid system has a first and a second hearing aid having a first and a second acousto-electric converter. The converters have a signal link with a signal processing unit which determines and compensates for signal deviations caused by the first and second acousto-electric converters on the basis of signals from the wearer's own voice. The wearer's own voice is recognized by a special facility.
