Abstract:
A process for preparing a magnetic recording medium by coating a magnetic coating material on a non-magnetic support and then drying the above magnetic coating material, which comprises imparting a magnetic field to said magnetic coating material with a magnet which rotates with the rotational surface at an angle of 5.degree. to 30.degree. relative to the surface of said support prior to drying of said magnetic coating material on said support.
Abstract:
A disk-form magnetic recording medium having a minimized change in output on an output envelope is produced by a process which comprises coating a nonmagnetic substrate with a magnetic paint and applying a magnetic field for orientation to the magnetic paint in a yet unsolidified state on the substrate moved in a direction. The magnetic field for orientation is made stronger in a direction perpendicular to the moving direction of the coated substrate than in the moving direction. The directional change in magnetic field for orientation is provided, e.g., by a plurality of magnetic poles having different magnetic powers or disposed with increasing angular spacing in a direction leaving the moving direction of the substrate, or by an electromagnet supplied with a positionally varying current.
Abstract:
An objective lens of large relative aperture includes three lens components of positive power arranged to be focused by moving the first and third components in unison forwardly, along with forward movement of the second component by a smaller amount than the movement of the first and third components when focusing down to shorter object distances. Accordingly, aberrations are well corrected throughout an extended range of image magnification.
Abstract:
In an interchangeable lens assembly for a camera, the aperture signal transmitting means are formed to include an axially elongate portion for communication of exposure control signals between a diaphragm mechanism in the lens assembly and a control mechanism in the camera body, and an annular portion having grooves or recesses therein for engaging bearing balls. The support structure includes a barrel member which is part of the lens assembly and which also includes a groove or recess cooperative with the groove or recess in the signal transmitting member to support the balls with retainer means being provided for the bearing balls. The retainer means is arranged between the signal transmitting member and the barrel member and is configured with an annular shape with holes equally spaced thereabout in a circular pattern about the optical axis of the lens assembly to retain the balls rotatably within the holes.

Abstract:
A device adapted for the purpose of enabling the use of presently available interchangeable photographic lenses in recently developed digitalized single lens reflex camera systems. This device is constructed in the form of an adaptor attachable to and detachable from the body of an interchangeable lens mount and capable, upon attachment to a conventional interchangeable lens, of providing information representing the full open F number of the interchangeable lens in the form of a coded digital signal. This signal is applied to a digitalized camera body associated therewith and provided, for example, with an inputting device adapted to receive the full open F number of the interchangeable lens as coded digital signal.
Abstract:
A liquid or pasty dentifrice comprising, uniformly incorporated therein, a polysaccharide as a thickening and suspending agent, said polysaccharide having a number average molecular weight (Mn) of not less than 100,000 and the molecule of said polysaccharide containing D-glucose, D-mannose, D-galactose and succinic acid in the approximate molar ratio of 1 : 0.03 : 0.1 : 0.2. The polysaccharide is obtained by cultivating Alcaligenes faecalis var. myxogenes in a culture medium containing at least one member selected from the group consisting of lactic acid, pyruvic acid, succinic acid, fumaric acid, malic acid and esters thereof and saccharide.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing RFID tags. A base sheet member is formed by fixedly attaching unit base substrates to a belt-like first sheet member at predetermined space intervals. Each unit base substrate is formed with an antenna pattern and has a non-contact communication-type IC chip mounted thereon. An upper-layer sheet member is formed by arranging reinforcing members between elastic, belt-like second and third sheet members, and is laminated on a surface of the first sheet member toward the unit base substrates such that each IC chip and each reinforcing member overlap each other in plan view. Regions each containing one unit base substrate are sequentially cut out from a laminate of the upper-layer sheet member and the base sheet member, thereby making RFID units.

A radio-frequency identification (RFID) tag includes: a plate-shaped sealing piece made of an elastic material. An inlet is enclosed within the sealing piece. The inlet includes an electronic component and an antenna connected to the electronic component. A pair of reinforcing pieces are located respectively on the front and back surfaces of the sealing piece so as to sandwich the electronic component. The reinforcing pieces are made of a first material harder than the elastic material. A joint piece configured to couple the reinforcing pieces to each other. The joint piece is made of a second material harder than the elastic material.
