Abstract:
Systems and methods for a media agent are described. In one aspect, user access of a media content source is detected. Responsive to this detection, a piece of media content and associated text is collected from the media content source. Semantic text features are extracted from the associated text and the piece of media content. The semantic text features are indexed into a media database.
Abstract:
The present invention is aimed to provide a clip for pen, in particular, the marks or logo on the clip can emit light and slide on rails. The illuminating clip includes a conducting clamp (6), at least an illuminating device (7), the conducting clamp (6) having a first and second conductors (61),(62) separated from each other; both top ends of the conductors (61),(62) led into pen (10) to contact the anode and cathode of the batteries (31); the illuminating device (7) is disposed on the conducting clamp (6), at least one LED (73) disposed inside the conducting clamp (6), two conducting metal leads (74), (75) extended from the underside of the LED to contact the conductors (61), (62); Thereby, a switch disposed on the pen (10) controls one of the circuits between the conductors and the batteries to light the illuminating device or not.
Abstract:
The invention includes the steps of: (1) during the 0th frame, setting value of an extend flag of zero length paging message through P-channel to be 1 for informing the portable terminal to receive the paging message within the 2nd frame; (2) during the frames of a first-type following the 2nd frame, via a data/voice field, broadcasting the information to the portable terminal.
Abstract:
A multimedia object retrieval and annotation system integrates an annotation process with object retrieval and relevance feedback processes. The annotation process annotates multimedia objects, such as digital images, with semantically relevant keywords. The annotation process is performed in background, hidden from the user, as the user conducts normal searches. The annotation process is “semi-automatic” in that it utilizes both keyword-based information retrieval and content-based image retrieval techniques to automatically search for multimedia objects, and then encourages users to provide feedback on the retrieved objects. The user identifies objects as either relevant or irrelevant to the query keywords and based on this feedback, the system automatically annotates the objects with semantically relevant keywords and/or updates associations between the keywords and objects. As the retrieval-feedback-annotation cycle is repeated, the annotation coverage and accuracy of future searches continues to improve.
Abstract:
The invention relates to novel pathogenic OrfF and OrfF′ polypeptides derived from Xanthomonas campestris pv. campstris, the nucleic acid molecules encoding the polypeptides and the uses of the same for detecting or preventing a black-rot disease of a crucifer plant, making organic fertilizer or composting and being a biofilter for degradation of organic compounds.
Abstract:
A front-worn respiratory tube without fastening assemblies namely fastening rings, hooks, buttons, clamps, sheaths or strips, includes a head-top-portion tube, a forehead-portion tube, a mouth-eyebrow-portion tube, a mouthpiece and a fish-mouth-shaped mouthpiece in a downward direction in sequence. Wherein, the aforesaid five parts are either wedge-type structures or join-type structures at three parts (from the head-top-portion tube to the forehead-portion tube, from the forehead-portion tube to the mouth-eyebrow-portion tube, and from the mouth-eyebrow-portion tube to the mouthpiece portion). The forehead-portion tube utilizes water drag force to have the tube steadily staying close to the user's head. A water-drop-shaped sectional area at the head-top-portion tube is capable of minimizing water drag. The aforesaid structure according to the invention is adaptable to head dimensions and a height of a nose tip of the user.
Abstract:
An image retrieval system performs both keyword-based and content-based image retrieval. A user interface allows a user to specify queries using a combination of keywords and examples images. Depending on the input query, the image retrieval system finds images with keywords that match the keywords in the query and/or images with similar low-level features, such as color, texture, and shape. The system ranks the images and returns them to the user. The user interface allows the user to identify images that are more relevant to the query, as well as images that are less or not relevant to the query. The user may alternatively elect to refine the search by selecting one example image from the result set and submitting its low-level features in a new query. The image retrieval system monitors the user feedback and uses it to refine any search efforts and to train itself for future search queries. In the described implementation, the image retrieval system seamlessly integrates feature-based relevance feedback and semantic-based relevance feedback.
Abstract:
A system level search module receives system level search user interface registration information for an application of the computing device. The registration information includes an indication of how the system level search module can launch the application. The registration information is added to a registration store, and the application is included as one of one or more applications that can be searched using the system level search user interface.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for packaging a backside illuminated (BSI) image sensor or a sensor device with an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) are disclosed. According to an embodiment, a sensor device may be bonded together face-to-face with an ASIC without using a carrier wafer, where corresponding bond pads of the sensor are aligned with bond pads of the ASIC and bonded together, in a one-to-one fashion. A column of pixels of the sensor may share a bond bad connected by a shared inter-metal line. The bond pads may be of different sizes and configured in different rows to be disjoint from each other. Additional dummy pads may be added to increase the bonding between the sensor and the ASIC.
Abstract:
A method is proposed for designing compact stripline and air-cavity based (SACB) RF filters, duplexers, and multiplexers. The target frequency band is 600 MHz˜3 GHz. The proposed devices feature both compact size (with 50% size reduction compared to traditional resonator air cavity design) and high power handling capability as well as low insertion-loss. In the SACB filter, striplines and cavities are used to emulate LC resonator (quasi-LC resonator). The combination of striplines and cavities forms a structure that exhibit the performance of an electric resonator circuit of inductor and capacitor (LC). The outside signal will be connected to the striplines, and the ground will be connected to the metal shield which forms the cavity. By controlling the dimensions of the stripline width and length as well as the size of the cavity, the desired filter response is achieved.
