The sensing unit measures a voltage of a battery. The MCU controls charging/discharging of the voltage of the battery, generates charge/discharge pulse pattern waveforms, measures and stores maximum and minimum voltages value of at least one pulse pattern among the charge/discharge pulse pattern waveforms, and sets an average of the measured voltage to an OCV setting from which an SOC is determined. The battery management system estimates the SOC while a vehicle is operating.

    摘要: A battery management system and a method of operating the same includes a plurality of battery cells constituting one pack and connected to a battery having at least one pack, and determines an estimated state of charge (SOC) of the battery. The battery management system determines whether or not a pack current flows, and controls a reset of an SOC depending on the determination result. The battery management system sets an OCV idle period associated with a temperature of the battery, and compares the idle period with a time for which the current of the battery does not flow, and sets the reset OCV depending on the comparison result. The battery management system resets the estimated SOC as the reset SOC associated with the reset OCV.

    摘要: A code combining soft handoff method is disclosed. A mobile terminal measures a strength of respective pilot signals received from a plurality of base stations. If the strength of the received pilot signal is higher than a given value, a base station controller allocates a new code pattern to the corresponding base station to additionally receive a signal from the base station. If the strength of the received pilot signal is lower than the specified value, it drops a signal of the corresponding base station. The mobile terminal and the base station change the code pattern of one of the signals from the two base stations into a code pattern different from the code pattern of the other signal.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for determining frame quality in a mobile communication system determines frame quality by estimating a received SIR without using a CRC under a control hold state in which PCBs are only transmitted while no data transmission actually occurs. The method for determining frame quality includes estimating a signal to interference ratio of an allocated traffic channel from PCBs extracted from PCGs of a frame received through the traffic channel and a signal received through a pilot channel received during a section of the PCGs in a state that no data transmission occurs between a mobile station and its control system and the PCBs are only transmitted and received through the traffic channel; and comparing the estimated signal to interference ratio with a preset reference signal to noise power ratio to determine quality of the received frame.

    摘要: A method of transmitting packet data to a receiver in a communication system using a Hybrid ARQ technique is disclosed. In accordance with one illustrative embodiment of the present invention, an index representative of how much the first packet being transmitted such as a signal-to-noise (Eb/No) ratio is compared to a predetermined threshold value when an error is occurred during the step of decoding the packet. If the index is greater than or equal to the threshold value, the first packet transmitted is stored in a buffer and a receiver requests to transmit a second additional packet encoded with a lower code rate. On the other hand, if the index is less than the threshold value, the receiver requests to re-transmit the first packet encoded with the same code rate.
