Abstract:
Imaging members useful in electrostatographic apparatuses, including printers, copiers, other reproductive devices, and digital apparatuses. More particularly, imaging members having nano-sized particles serving as fillers dispersed or contained in one or more layers of the imaging member that provide for increased mechanical strength and improved wear.
Abstract:
Porous polymer microspheres having a size of from about 3 to about 50 microns and a geometric standard deviation of about 1.25 or less are disclosed. The porous polymer microspheres are made by a method including the steps of preparing an emulsion comprised of polymer particles having an average particle size of less than about 3 microns and a diluent, subjecting the emulsion to an aggregating condition to form aggregated polymer particles, optionally coalescing the aggregated polymer particles, and removing the diluent to form the porous polymer microspheres.

Abstract:
Processes for producing toner are provided which utilize reactive coalescing agents in forming the toner particles, as well as toners produced by such processes.
Abstract:
A process for preparing a toner includes mixing a polymeric resin emulsion, a colorant dispersion, and a wax to form a mixture; optionally adding a coagulant to the mixture; heating the mixture at a temperature below a glass transition temperature of the polymeric resing to aggregate the polymeric resin, colorant, and wax, to form aggregated particles; and adding a coalescent agent to the aggregated particles; heating the aggregated particles and coalescent agent at a temperature above the glass transition temperature of the polymeric resin, to coalesce the aggregated particles to form toner particles, optionally cooling the mixture, and isolating the tone particles.
Abstract:
Disclosed are toner compositions comprised of a polymer, an optional colorant, and an UV light curable oligomer. Also disclosed are methods for producing a UV curable toner compositions, the toner compositions produced thereby, and methods of utilizing the UV curable toner compositions in various painting applications.
