摘要: A vaginal drug delivery system includes a device formed of porous material that holds a flowable therapeutic formulation. The device, preferably in a soft, prewetted state, is inserted into the vagina to reside typically at or near the cervix where it continuously releases the flowable therapeutic formulation through its outer surface which is in contact with the vaginal surfaces. In operation, the flowable therapeutic formulation migrates via capillary forces from a reservoir that is centrally located in the device and through a covering that envelopes the reservoir.

摘要: Certain embodiments provide systems and methods for target image acquisition using sensor data. The system includes at least one sensor adapted to detect an event and generate a signal based at least in part on the event. The system also includes an imager obtaining an image of a target and target area based on a target tracking and recognition algorithm. The imager is configured to trigger image acquisition based at least in part on the signal from the sensor. The imager adjusts the target tracking and recognition algorithm based at least in part on sensor data in the signal. In certain embodiments, the imager may also adjust an image acquisition threshold for obtaining an image based on the sensor data.

摘要: A forced air cooler (10) includes a cabinet (20) defining a lower chamber (30) wherein product is stored and an upper chamber (40) housing a pair of fans (62) and (64) positioned intermediate spaced evaporators (52) and (54). A wire rack (90) disposed on the floor of the cabinet (20) supports the product off the floor and includes integral side fences (94) and (96) which serve to space the product away from the side walls (26) and (28) of the cabinet. The fans (62) and (64) draw air through the evaporators (52) and (54), respectively, and direct the cooing air through the openings provided by the slots (68) in the diffuser plate (66) to provide a uniformly distributed flow of cooling air, at its coolest condition, downwardly into the lower chamber (30) to pass over the product stored therein. Upon reaching the floor of the lower chamber, the cooling airflow passes along the surface of the floor and is drawn into the lower return air duct (70) and thence into side air ducts (76) and (78) to return to the upper chamber (40) and be again drawn through the evaporators (52) and (54).

摘要: Methods and apparatus that enable a first network protocol provider, executing on a first computer system, and a second network protocol provider, executing on a second computer system which is directly interconnected to the first computer system, to communicate at high speed, with low latency, over the interconnection therebetween such that both systems may use their native mechanisms to communicate with each other without change in those mechanisms, rather than over conventional network communication paths such as Ethernet. An interconnection couples the input/output (I/O) subsystem of the first computer system to the I/O subsystem of the second computer system such data can be transmitted between the systems, and a virtual LAN (“VLAN”) device driver executing on the second computer system provides an interface between the interconnection and the native communications mechanisms of the second computer system. The VLAN simulates a conventional network driver such as an NDIS Fiber Distributed Data Interface (FDDI) network interface card (NIC) Miniport driver to the transport protocol driver TCPIP.SYS on the second computer system and exchanges data with the first computer system via a particular line of a LAN station group for delivery to and receipt from the first computer system.

摘要: A surface of an article, for example an external fluid flow surface, includes a plurality of metal wires lengthwise of the wires along the article surface. The article can be in the form of a component of an apparatus, for example a component of a gas turbine engine, the wires being bonded along and modifying surface characteristics of the article. Also, the article can be in the form of a bonding layer, for example a brazing tape, including the metal wires carried along a surface of the layer.

摘要: Methods, systems and computer program products are provided which update firmware in a network computer by replacing the standard operating system to be loaded at the initialization of the network computer with a firmware update operating system. The firmware update operating system is then downloaded to the network computer and initiated to update the firmware of the network computer. The firmware update operating system may then be replaced with the standard operating system to be loaded at the initialization of the network computer. The network computer may then be reinitialized by, for example, a cold boot, so as to load the standard operating system. The cold boot may be server initiated so as to allow for firmware updates with intervention by an operator at the network computer.
