摘要： A silver halide photographic material which comprises a support having provided thereon at least one photosensitive silver halide photographic emulsion layer, wherein the emulsion layer or at least one of the other hydrophilic colloid layers contains at least one of alkynyl-substituted heterocyclic quaternary ammonium salts represented by the formula: ##STR1## wherein Z represents a group of non-metallic atoms required to form a 5- to 6-membered heterocyclic ring, R.sup.1 represents an aliphatic group, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4, which may be the same or different, each represents a hydrogen atom, an aliphatic group, or an aromatic group, at least one of R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4 and Z has at least one substituent having an alkynyl group, Y represents a counter ion for the charge balance, and n is a number required for charge balance.

摘要： A silver halide photographic material is disclosed. The photographic material comprises a support having provided thereon at least one light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, the silver halide emulsion layer or a layer adjacent to the emulsion layer comprising a compound represented by the following formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, and R.sub.3, which may be the same or different, each represents a hydrogen atom or a group cleaved by an alkali; R.sub.4 represents an electron attracting group having .sigma..rho. value of Hammett's substituent constant of 0.3 or more; R.sub.5 represents a group substitutable on the benzene ring; n represents 0 or 1; and DI represents a development restrainer or a precursor thereof; and when any two of R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 are adjacent each other, each of the two groups may represent a divalent group and the two groups may be bonded to form a heterocyclic group.

摘要： A method of processing a direct positive silver halide photographic light-sensitive material which comprises processing a direct positive silver halide photographic light-sensitive material comprising a support having coated thereon at least one hydrophilic colloid layer containing a compound represented by the following general formula (I):R.sup.1 NHNHCOR.sup.2 (I)wherein R.sup.1 represents an unsubstituted or substituted aryl group or an unsubstituted or substituted alkyl group; and R.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom, an unsubstituted or substituted aryl group or an unsubstituted or substituted alkyl group, with a developing solution containing not less than 25 g per liter of a hydroquinone and having a pH of from 11.0 to 13.0. According to the processing method an excellent reversal photographic image can be obtained using a high pH type developing solution which is stable wherein a change of pH due to exhaustion and aerial oxidation is considerably small.

摘要： A direct positive silver halide sensitive material and a method of treating the material are disclosed. The method of treatment comprises providing an exposed direct positive silver halide sensitive material comprised of a base having thereon a compound represented by the general formula (I) and a sensitive silver halide photographic emulsion layer. The material is then developed in the presence of a compound represented by the general formula (II). ##STR1## the substituents within the general formula are defined in the specification. ##STR2## the substituents within this general formula are also defined in the specification. The use of the compounds represented by the general formulae (I) and (II) provide an image with improved sharpness and edge effect. Furthermore, the process can be carried out without substantial variations in the reversal property due to variations in the bromine ion concentration of the developing solution or the pH thereof.
