    摘要： A serial transmission path switching system includes a matrix switch section for switching N×M lines at a fixed rate. An optical receiving section is connected to receive an optical signal from an optical transmission path, photoelectrically convert it, and supply it to the matrix switch section. An optical transmitting section is connected to convert an output from the matrix switch section into an optical signal and send it to an optical transmission path. An input buffer is connected to the terminal of the optical transmission path connected to the optical receiving section to equalize the input signal from an input-side communication device, convert the signal into an optical signal, and send it to the optical transmission path. An output buffer is connected to the terminal of the optical transmission path connected to the optical transmitting section to convert an optical signal from the optical transmitting section into an electrical signal, equalize it, and output it to an output-side communication device.

    摘要： Described is a decolorizable dye represented by the following formula (I): wherein R1 represents an alkyl, aryl or heterocyclic group; R2 and R3 independently each represents a hydrogen atom or has the same meaning as R1 or may be coupled together to form a ring; L1 and L2 independently each represents a methine group or a nitrogen atom; L3 and L4 independently each represents a methine group; Z represents an atomic group necessary for the formation of a 5- or 6-membered hetero ring; m stands for 0 or 1; Y represents an oxygen, sulfur, selenium or tellurium atom; A represents a hydrogen atom or a group eliminative by solution treatment; V stands for a monovalent group; p stands for 0, 1, 2 or 3, X represents a counterion, and n stands for a numeral of 0 or greater necessary for the neutralization of an electron charge in the molecule. The decolorizable dye according to the present invention retains stable color forming condition during storage but becomes colorless rightly after solution treatment.

    摘要： Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for vertical continuous casting. The vertical continuous casting includes drawing a strand formed in a watercooled mold vertically downward therefrom, positioning light reduction pinch rollers just prior to the solidification completing point of the strand, and applying a light reduction force to the strand sufficient to compensate for contraction caused by solidification of the strand. By this procedure the formation of central cavities is prevented and central segregation is lessened. The light reduction pinch rollers are arranged to be adjustably positioned up and down along the strand, in order to compensate for fluctuations in the location of the solidification completing point of the strand.
