Abstract:
A transmitter and a method therein, configured for generating a synchronization signal for Device-to-Device (D2D) communication utilizing a Single Carrier-Frequency Division Multiple Access (SC-FDMA) waveform. The method includes determining, by a transmitter, a synchronization sequence du[l] modulating a set of subcarriers, where |du[l]|=|du[L−1−l]|, l=0, 1, . . . , L−1, and |du[l]|=K, for a positive constant K, where u is a root index and L is a length of the synchronization sequence du[l]. The method further includes selecting the root index u from a set of root indices, and generating a synchronization signal for D2D communication utilizing an SC-FDMA waveform based on the determined synchronization sequence du[l] and the selected root index u.

Abstract:
In a radio communication system, a number of downlink component carriers can be aggregated for communication between a network node and a User Equipment (UE). A set of downlink component carriers is determined from the number of downlink component carriers. A downlink control channel for the UE is arranged to include information being usable for identifying at least one downlink component carrier of the set of downlink component carriers. A channel quality report is to be provided for each one of the at least one identified downlink component carrier.
Abstract:
To facilitate transmission of a sounding reference signal (SRS) on an uplink carrier of a telecommunication system, a shifted SRS is created, wherein a predefined frequency domain position of a SRS is shifted for creation of the shifted SRS, thereby creating an extended SRS region including at least one additional RB being separate from the predefined frequency domain position of the SRS.
Abstract:
Methods and nodes for transmission of downlink control channel signals in a downlink frequency carrier of a wireless communication system, wherein at least two PRB pairs, configurable for the transmission of a downlink control channel have different numbers of time-frequency resource elements available for the transmission of said downlink control channel. The method comprises allocating at least one set S of PRB pairs; arranging time-frequency resource elements from said set S into an aggregation comprising at least one level; determining a set LS of aggregation levels supported for the transmission of a downlink control channel within the allocated set of PRB pairs, based on the number of time-frequency resource elements available for the transmission of a downlink control channel in PRB pairs of the set S; and transmitting the downlink control channel within said set S of PRB pairs.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a resource allocation method and apparatus, wherein the method comprises: determining a first resource block group size corresponding to a first resource allocation type in the common resource area; and dividing all resource blocks in the common resource area of the carrier into one or more resource block groups; determining a second resource block group size corresponding to the first resource allocation type in the dedicated resource area; and according to the second resource block group size, dividing resource blocks in the dedicated resource area of the carrier into one or more resource block groups.
Abstract:
Methods and nodes are provided for transmission of information, over at least one antenna port, in a subframe, which information is received by a receiver in a wireless communication system. Demodulation of the information entity by the receiver is enabled by also transmitting a Demodulation Reference Signal, DM-RS, comprising a DM-RS pattern, wherein positions in the DM-RS pattern are associated with at least one antenna port for transmission of the information entity. The method includes defining, for at least one subframe, a set of at least two distinct DM-RS patterns, assigning one DM-RS pattern, from the defined set of DM-RS patterns, to the receiver, and transmitting the information entity on the at least one antenna port associated with the assigned DM-RS pattern.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus are provided for facilitating synchronization between a base station (BS) and a user equipment (UE) in a mobile communication system. The UE receives a synchronization signal originated by the BS. The synchronization signal is encoded with a selected cyclically permutable (CP) codeword. The selected CP codeword is selected from a set of CP codewords. Encoding of the synchronization signal is facilitated by a repetitive cyclically permutable (RCP) codeword derivable from the selected CP codeword. The RCP codeword has a plurality of codeword elements each associated with a value, the value of at least one codeword element in the RCP codeword being repeated in another codeword element position in the RCP codeword. And the synchronization signal is decoded in accordance with repetitive structure of the RCP codeword.
