    摘要: A method for feeding sheet materials is disclosed, which is implemented by forwarding a plurality of sheet materials loaded on a loading plate with a rotating feeding roller toward a separation unit, for the leading edge of the sheet materials to be collided with a tapered face of taper member, and subsequently separating the uppermost of the loaded sheet materials through frictional force from the feeding roller after climbing over the taper member to be forwarded further to an image forming unit by way of a nip forming portion, while other underlying sheet materials are halted by the taper member owning to smaller frictional forces there between, thereby obviating the multiple feeding. In addition, the conditions suitable for sheet feeding can be satisfied for various sheet materials different in size and thickness by adjusting the distance between the point of contact of the uppermost sheet material with the feeding roller and that of nip formation, such that modulus values are equated to various sheet materials. As a result, considerably high sheet separation qualities are obtained obviating undue non-feeding or multiple feeding, and various kinds of sheet materials different in size, thickness and coefficient of friction, can be forwarded sheet by sheet securely to image forming unit, thereby achieving satisfactory image formation by means of image forming apparatuses incorporating the sheet feeding apparatuses disclosed herein.

Thus, even if displacement occurs by the centrifugal force and thermal expansion during the operation of pump, predetermined gaps can be provided therebetween.

    摘要: In a magnetic bearing apparatus provided at least with a touchdown bearing and a corrugated plate-like damper member inserted into an annular gap between the touchdown bearing and its retainer member, to keep on holding the corrugated plate-like damper member in a predetermined position without fail. A cylindrical retainer member 9 is a thrust bearing retainer member and also a touchdown bearing retainer member. A touchdown bearing 4, i.e., a pair of roller bearings 4a and 4b disposed in upper and lower stages are received in an inner circumferential portion of the cylindrical retainer member 9. An annular gap G is formed between the inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical retainer member 9 and outer races of the pair of roller bearings 4a and 4b.     摘要: A screw groove-type pump has a rotor member mounted for undergoing rotation, a stator member arranged so as to be coaxial with the rotor member and having a peripheral wall disposed opposite to and spaced-apart from a circumferential wall of the rotor member, an inlet port for introducing gas into a space between the circumferential wall of the rotor member and the peripheral wall of the stator member, and an outlet port for discharging gas introduced into the space between the circumferential wall of the rotor member and the peripheral wall of the stator member. A screw groove is formed on one of the circumferential wall of the rotor member and the peripheral wall of the stator member for transferring gas introduced into the inlet port through the space between the circumferential wall of the rotor member and the peripheral wall of the stator member and to the outlet port during rotation of the rotor member. The depth of the screw groove at a point thereof which is nearest the inlet port is equal to or larger than ¼ the diameter of one of the circumferential wall of the rotor member and the peripheral wall of the stator member. An angle of elevation of the screw groove with respect to a radial axis of the rotor member decreases toward the outlet port from the inlet port.
