Abstract: A wearable device configured to be positioned on a user's wrist, includes a case back configured to be at least partially in contact with the user's wrist, a heat flux sensor, configured to measure a heat flux coming from the user's wrist, and an optical sensor including at least one light emission assembly to emit light and at least one light reception assembly to receive light from the light emission assembly. Positions of each of the at least one light emission assembly and each of the at least one light reception assembly form a geometrical shape on the case back, as projected orthogonally on the case back. The heat flux sensor is arranged within the geometrical shape, as projected orthogonally on the case back.

Abstract: A temperature sensor including a body made from a thermally and electrically conductive material, the body defined by a peripheral wall extending along a longitudinal axis from an open proximal end to a closed distal end. A thermally responsive element including an outer surface, a temperature sensitive resistor electrically connected to a first lead, a second lead, and a connector block disposed substantially within the internal cavity. The inner surface of the peripheral wall defines the shape of a right circular cone at the distal end. The outer surface of the temperature sensitive resistor is in direct contact with the inner surface of the peripheral wall at the distal end. One of a thermally conductive and curable potting material and a thermally conductive grease disposed in the cavity and substantially surrounding the temperature responsive element.

An anomaly in the measured temperature profile indicates an interface surrounding the FO-DTS sediment dynamics monitoring device. interface can be a sediment-water interface or a water-air interface.

Abstract: A temperature sensor, a temperature measuring device comprising the temperature sensor, and a temperature measuring method using the temperature sensor are disclosed. The temperature sensor is disposed at a measurement target having an extremely low temperature and transmits temperature measurement data to a temperature measurement output unit through a lead wire. The temperature sensor includes a housing, an electric resistor disposed in the housing, and a thermal anchor portion disposed inside or outside the housing and connected to the lead wire. Further, the lead wire extending from the thermal anchor portion is connected to the temperature measurement output unit.
