摘要: Disclosed is a low-cost composite-type vacuum pump having a strength capable of withstanding high loads and using a cylindrical rotor formed from a fiber-reinforced plastic material. Having a turbo-molecular pump section (14) and a thread groove pump section (15), the composite vacuum pump is formed by press-fitting a joint portion (20a) of a rotor (17) of the turbo-molecular pump section (14) into the upper end section of a cylindrical rotor (21) formed from the fiber-reinforced plastic material of the thread groove pump section (15). The joint portion (20a) of the rotor (17) is formed on the lower end side of the rotor (17) integrally with said rotor (17) and in the shape of a cylinder with an L shaped cross section, and is provided with: a contact portion (28) having an outer diameter enable press-fitting into the inner peripheral face of the cylindrical rotor (21); and a small-diameter section (29) positioned above said contact portion (28) and, having an outer diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the aforementioned cylindrical rotor (21), capable of being placed inside the cylindrical rotor (21) away from the inner peripheral face of the cylinder rotor (21).

摘要: Charging is started with charge voltage set to a first voltage value (lower than a normal charge voltage) by a charge voltage change means, the first voltage value being predetermined to ensure that secondary batteries constituting a parallel-arrangement battery pack are charged up to and maintained at a predetermined SOC lower than full charge (between 80 and 90% of full charge). When a charge current detection means detects that charge current has decreased to a predetermined value A1, the charge voltage is set to a second voltage value (normal charge voltage) higher than the first voltage value by the charge voltage change means, the second voltage value being predetermined to enable the secondary batteries to be charged up to full charge. When a battery SOC detection means detects that at least one of the secondary batteries has reached full charge, charging is terminated.

摘要: Provided are a terminal structure capable of preventing damage due to an excessive force and having high sealing property, and a vacuum pump to which the terminal structure is applied. When a control device (400) undergoes transition to a turbo molecular pump main body (300), a cylindrical wall (603) of a female connector (600) is fit-engaged with a cavity (504) of a male connector (500). As the connection progresses, head portions (511a) at one ends of male pins (511) are inserted into pin insertion elongated holes (624). When, after that, a forward end of the cylindrical wall (603) of the control device (400) abuts a bottom portion (501) of the female connector (600), the female connector (600) on the control device (400) side, which is of low rigidity, is pushed back against an elastic force of waved washers (613). As a result, even when an excessive force is applied to the female connector (600) and the male connector (500), the force can be mitigated through deformation of the waved washers (613), so there is no fear of the connectors suffering damage.

摘要: A molecular pump has a casing having a gas inlet port and a gas discharge port, a stator disposed within the casing, a shaft disposed in the casing concentrically with the stator, a bearing rotatably supporting the shaft for undergoing rotation relative to the stator in a preselected direction of rotation, a rotor mounted on the shaft for rotation therewith in the preselected direction of rotation, and a motor for rotationally driving the shaft. A flange is connected to the casing at the gas inlet port. The flange has at least one mounting hole for receiving a fastener, a first elongated through-hole disposed in communication with the mounting hole, and a second elongated through-hole spaced apart from the first elongated through-hole in a direction toward a direction of rotation opposite to the preselected direction of rotation to define between the first and second elongated through-holes a deformable thin-wall portion for undergoing deformation due to a shock resulting from a torque acting on the casing in the preselected direction of rotation.

摘要: A vacuum pump has a pump case having a gas suction port at an upper part of the pump case and a gas exhaust port at a lower part of the pump case. A stator column extends from a base of the pump case and has an outer circumferential surface. A rotor shaft is rotatably supported in the pump case by the stator column. A spacer is removably integrally connected to the outer circumferential surface of the stator column. The spacer has an outer circumferential surface spaced apart from an inner circumferential surface of the rotor and a through-hole extending form the outer circumferential surface to an inner circumferential surface thereof. A connecting member extends through the through-hole of the spacer and contacts the outer circumferential surface of the stator column to thereby removably integrally connect the spacer to the outer circumferential surface of the stator column.

摘要: A vacuum pump and a vacuum apparatus are provided in which gas suction and discharge force can be adjusted without producing dust. The vacuum apparatus includes a vacuum pump 1 for sucking and discharging gas within a chamber 90. The vacuum pump 1 is provided with a communicating pipe 85 that pierces the casing for communicating between the outside of the apparatus and the rotor blades and the stator blades of the turbomolecular pump section. An inert gas is supplied to the turbomolecular pump section through the communicating pipe 85 so that the inert gas is mixed with the gas that has sucked from the chamber 90. The communicating pipe 85 includes a valve 86, and an open/close operation of the valve 86 is controlled in accordance with an output from a pressure sensor 97 witnin the chamber 90. An amount of the inert to be supplied to the turbomolecular pump section T and then mixed, is adjusted by the valve 86 so that a pressure within the vacuum pump 1 is adjusted, with the result that a gas suction force from the chamber 90 can be adjusted.

摘要: Provided is a vacuum pump in which no finish processing has to be carried out after shaping of a cylindrical rotor even in use of a cylindrical rotor obtained by shaping a fiber-reinforced plastic material into a cylindrical shape. The vacuum pump has a turbo-molecular pump section and a thread groove pump section. The upper end section of a cylindrical rotor, which is obtained by shaping a fiber-reinforced plastic material into a cylindrical shape, of the thread groove pump section, is joined to the lower end section of a rotor of the turbo-molecular pump section. A joining portion of the rotor of the turbo-molecular pump section and the cylindrical rotor of the thread groove pump section is disposed upstream of an exhaust passage. As a result, finish processing does not have to be carried out after shaping of the cylindrical rotor. If finish processing is performed after shaping of the cylindrical rotor a resin may be coated onto a rugged portion of the cylindrical rotor, or fibers may be helically wound at a winding angle not greater than 45 degrees.

摘要: A flange of a molecular pump is connected to a vacuum vessel by first bolts that extend through elongate holes in the flange and are bolted to the vacuum vessel. One or more buffering members are attached to the flange by the first bolts that extend through first openings in the buffering members and by second bolts that extend through second openings in the buffering members and are bolted to the flange. In the event of malfunction of the molecular pump that generates an abnormally high torque, the buffering members plastically deform and absorb the shock energy caused by the abnormal torque thereby preventing damage to the vacuum vessel.

摘要: A molecular pump for exhausting a chamber has a casing, a stator mounted in the casing, and a rotor mounted in the casing for undergoing rotation relative to the stator during exhaustion of the container. The rotor has a surface disposed opposite to and confronting a surface of the stator. A thread groove is formed in at least one of the opposite and confronting surfaces of the stator and the rotor. A clearance varying device varies a magnitude of a clearance between the opposite and confronting surfaces of the stator and the rotor. An exhaust controlling device controls a degree of exhaustion of the chamber by adjusting the magnitude of the clearance between the opposite and confronting surfaces of the stator and the rotor to a preselected target value during operation of the molecular pump.
