    摘要: A passive optical network (PON) system includes at least one optical line terminal (OLT), a plurality of optical network units (ONUs) connected to each OLT, and an OLT management server used to manage the OLT. The OLT management server creates a VLAN access control table in response to a user's request to indicate a VID translation relation among different VLAN identifiers (VIDs) and sends a VID translation relation described in the VLAN access control table to the OLT, and the OLT creates a VLAN translation table indicating a correspondence relation between a source VID and a destination VID, which are waiting for translation, based on the received VID translation relation. If the OLT determines that a VID included in a received frame must be translated based on the VLAN translation table, the OLT references the VLAN translation table to translate the VID included in the received frame to a corresponding destination VID.

    摘要: A session QoS control apparatus includes a session management database in which session management information per user terminal is stored, a user preference database in which user preference information representing the user state and QoS requirement associated with the identifier of a user communication terminal is stored, and a user communication terminal and router management database in which mapping between a user terminal and a network node to which the terminal is connected is stored. Upon receiving user session information, the apparatus analyses the user session information by referring to the session management and user preference databases and determines a QoS policy for the session between and callee terminals. From the user communication terminal and router management database, the apparatus retrieves a node on which the session QoS policy should be set and transmits a QoS command to the node to set the session QoS policy on the node.

    摘要: For use in a rotary printing machine comprising at least one rotary drum, an image carrier medium having an image area to be printed on an image supporting material, and a printing ink supply unit, an ink detecting device which comprises a plurality of sensor rolls rotatably supported in series on a single fixed shaft in frictional contact with the printing drum through a layer of printing ink interposed between said sensor rolls and said printing drum a first means for separately detecting rotational speed of each sensor rolls, a second means for detecting rotational speed of the printing drum, and a control means for comparing the rotational speed of each sensor roll, under the influence of the slip between the sensor rolls and the printing drum, and corresponding reference values respectively indicative of rotational speed of each sensor roll measured under such a condition that optimum quantity of printing ink is applied on the outer periphery of the printing drum, and accordingly controlling said ink supplying means so as to replenish the printing ink onto corresponding portions of the outer periphery of the printing drum which correspond to some sensor rolls the rotational speed of which exceeds the corresponding reference values.
