Abstract: Embodiments of a low-power wake-up radio (LP-WUR) are generally described herein. In some embodiments, a wireless device is set to a first state or a second state, wherein in the first state the wireless device is configured to receive wake-up (WU) packets, and wherein in the second state the wireless device is configured to not receive WU packets, wherein the wireless device comprises a WLAN radio and a low-power wake-up radio (LP-WUR).In some embodiments, the wireless device is configured to receive a wake-up packet, turn on the WLAN radio and turn off the LP-WUR. In some embodiments, the wireless device is configured to turn off the WLAN radio and turn on the LP-WUR for power conservation. In some embodiments, the wireless device turns off the WLAN radio and turns off the LP-WUR, and can periodically turn on the LP-WUR radio for extreme power saving.

Abstract: Methods, computer readable media, and wireless apparatuses are disclosed for setting network allocation vectors (NAV) for multi-user (MU) operation. An apparatus of a wireless device is disclosed. The apparatus comprising processing circuitry configured to: decode a preamble portion of a frame, and if the preamble portion of the frame comprises a high-efficiency (HE) signal (SIG) A field (HE-SIG-A) comprising a transmission opportunity (TXOP) duration field and a media access control (MAC) portion of the frame is not decoded, set one or more NAVs based on the TXOP duration field. The processing circuitry may be further configured to: decode a MAC portion of the frame, and if the MAC portion of the frame comprises a MAC duration field, set the one or more NAVs based on the MAC duration field.

An access point may determine timing information for the transmission of low power wake up radio beacons and send that timing information to a user device. An access point may then send low power wake up radio beacons based on that timing information to a user device, and a user device may receive the low power wake up radio beacons based on the timing information.

Abstract: Described herein are mechanisms to inform a first Neighbor Awareness Networking (NAN) device as to whether or not a second NAN device is connected to a dynamic frequency selection (DFS) master and/or whether the second NAN device is listening to the same DFS master as the first NAN device. In order for NAN client devices to operate in the 5 GHz band and be DFS compliant, all such devices that are communicating in a NAN peer-to-peer manner must either maintain association with a DFS master or must listen to the same DFS master for channel information.

Abstract: Methods, devices, and systems for retransmission of wake-up signals from a first station to a second station over a wireless network are disclosed. In some aspects, a wake-up signal is encoded for transmission to the second station. While the first station is waiting for an acknowledgment of the wake-up signal from the second station, the second station may retransmit the wake up signal and/or encode a packet for transmission to a third station. In some aspects, whether the wake-up signal is retransmitted is based in part, on at least one of whether a number of timeout events for wake-up signals transmitted to the second station exceeds a maximum timeouts threshold, whether a number of wake-up signals transmitted to the second station exceeds a maximum wake-up signals threshold; or whether a maximum predetermined elapsed time since a first wake-up signal was transmitted to the second station is exceeded.

Abstract: A STA and method of providing a subscription policy are provided. The STA determines a subscription policy for a multicast, broadcast or unicast service and provides a policy comprising an indication that indicates active subscription (i.e. group joining is required) or no subscription (i.e. group joining is prohibited) or implicit subscription (i.e. group joining is implicit), dependent on network or subscription conditions. Updates to the policy are transmitted upon one or more thresholds are being reached. Subscribers re-subscribe to the service when the indication switches from implicit subscription to active subscription.

The device may cause to send a frame to the first device based at least in part on the trigger frame. The device may determine an error condition associated with the frame. The device may refrain from incrementing the quality of service counter based on the error condition.

Abstract: Wireless device, method, and computer readable media for multi-user request-to-send and clear-to-send and uplink ACK protection in a high efficiency wireless local-area network are disclosed. A high-efficiency (HE) wireless local-area network (HEW) master device may include circuitry configured to generate a multi-user (MU) RTS packet for a plurality of stations (STAs), the RTS packet to include an indication of an address for each of the plurality of STAs. The circuitry may be further configured to transmit the MU-RTS to the plurality STAs and transmit data to one or more of the plurality of STAs in accordance with at least from the following group orthogonal frequency division multi-user (OFDMA) and multi-user multiple-input multiple-output (MU-MIMO). The circuitry may be configured to receive acknowledgements from the one or more of the plurality of STAs. A HEW device may set a deferral duration in an uplink transmission to enable a HEW master device to send an acknowledgement.

The processing circuitry may be further configured to determine the inter-BSS PPDU to be a SRG PPDU if: the inter-BSS PPDU comprises a BSS color field and a bit of the SRG BSS color bitmap corresponding to a value of the BSS color field is set; or a BSSID field is identified for the inter-BSS PPDU, and a bit of the SRG Partial BSSID bitmap corresponding to a value of a partial BSSID of the BSSID is set.
