摘要： A quantization method of transmission of channel quality information (CQI) includes measuring two measurements SINRs and calculating a difference (i.e., Delta SINR) between the two measurements of the SINRs; determining a CQIbase (base channel quality information) based on one of the two measurements SINRs and a known quantization table for the CQIbase, and simultaneously receiving cell-specific or UE-specific parameters transmitted from a base station and configuring a quantization table defining a mapping method of CQIdelta (delta channel quality information) and the Delta SINR and determining the CQIdelta based on the obtained Delta SINR and the configured quantization table; and transmitting the resulting CQIdelta and CQIbase.

摘要： A method of transmitting a control channel format indicator (CCFI), also known as PCFICH (Physical Control Format Indicator Channel), in case where the length of a coded CCFI is not an integer multiple of three, including mapping a plurality of two-bit CCFI into a codebook with each component codeword having three bits; generating a sequence of codewords selected from the codebook by repeating the selected component codeword for predetermined times; generating a codeword by concatenating the sequence of the selected component codewords with the original CCFI bits; and transmitting the codeword carrying information of CCFI. The method further includes a step of generating a permutation of each of the four codewords by assigning K repetitions of the three-bit component codeword to the number of K resource units respectively and mapping remaining K bits of each of the four codewords separately to the number of K resource units.

First, a set of new permutation algorithms based on Galois field operation is proposed. Then the proposed algorithms and the known Pruned Bit Reversal Ordering (PBRO) algorithm are applied to several of various resource mapping schemes, including slot or symbol level Orthogonal Cover (OC)/Cyclic Shift (CS) mapping, cell-specific slot-level and symbol-level CS hopping patterns, and subframe and slot level base sequence hopping patterns.

摘要： An approach is provided for addressing in a multiple carrier communication system. In one embodiment, a group index is assigned to a group of terminals of a communication network. The group index permits sharing of addressing indices supported by the communication network for transmission of data to the group of terminals. In another embodiment, a plurality of terminals is classified using preamble indices corresponding to the terminals into one or more classes. A multi-user packet, which utilizes the preamble indices to activate only a class of the terminals for processing the multi-user packet, is generated.

The base station also includes a transmitter configured to transmit the two indicators to the subscriber station. The base station also is configured to construct the two-dimensional logical matrix that is adapted to enable contiguous and diverse resource unit allocations.

摘要： A system and method for relaying communications in a wireless communication network. A relay station capable of relaying wireless communications includes a plurality of receiver antennas and a plurality of transmitter antennas. The plurality of receiver antennas is operable to receive, in a first time interval, a first communication from a base station and a second communication from a subscriber station. The plurality of transmitter antennas is operable transmit a third communication to the base station and the subscriber station in a second time interval. The relay station also includes a network encoder. The network encoder is configured to generate a combined symbol constellation. The combined symbol constellation is generated by combining a first symbol constellation transmitted in said first communication with a second symbol constellation transmitted in said second communication. Further, the third communication comprises said combined symbol constellation.
