    摘要: A control valve is used for a variable displacement compressor. The compressor has a crank chamber and a supply passage. The control valve includes a valve housing. A valve chamber is defined in the valve housing. A valve body is accommodated in the valve chamber for adjusting the opening size of the supply passage. A pressure sensing chamber is defined in the valve housing. A pressure sensing member separates the pressure sensing chamber into a first pressure chamber and a second pressure chamber. The pressure at a first pressure monitoring point is applied to the first pressure chamber. The pressure at a second pressure monitoring point located is applied to the second pressure chamber. The pressure sensing member moves the valve body in accordance with the pressure difference between the first pressure chamber and the second pressure chamber. The pressure sensing member is a bellows or a diaphragm, an actuator applies force to the pressure sensing member in accordance with external commands. The force is applied by the actuator corresponds to a target value of the pressure difference. The pressure sensing member moves the valve body such that the pressure difference seeks the target value.

    摘要: An interruptible power transmission mechanism couples a drive source to a compressor. The power transmission mechanism has a pulley, which rotates in synchronism with the drive source, and a receiving member, which rotates in synchronism with the compressor. A limit spring couples the pulley and the receiving member such that they rotate together. When the load torque of the compressor exceeds a predetermined value, the diameter of the limit spring is decreased so that the limit spring engages a rib provided on the receiving member. Then, the deformation of the limit spring in the radial direction is locally restricted, causing stress at a specific portion of the limit spring to increase rapidly. As a result, the limit spring is reliably broken at a torque near the desired load torque, thus interrupting power in a desirable manner.

    摘要: A variable displacement compressor air conditions a compartment and includes a suction chamber, a discharge chamber and a crank chamber. A controller controls the pressure in the crank chamber to vary the compressor displacement. Two pressure monitoring points are located in a refrigerant circuit. The pressure in the crank chamber is controlled by a control valve. The control valve operates based on the pressure difference between the monitoring points such that a target pressure difference is maintained. A temperature sensor monitors the temperature of the compartment. A detection circuit compares the monitored temperature with reference values. When the monitored temperature surpasses one reference value or falls below another, the detection circuit outputs a detection signal. When receiving the detection signal, a pressure difference changer gradually increases or decreases the target value of the pressure differences accordingly.

    摘要: A power transmission mechanism for power-transmittably coupling a rotating unit of a compressor (11) composed of a drive shaft (17), a rotating support (23) and a swash plate (27) with an engine (62), comprising a pulley (56) and an armature (58), both of which constitute a first rotating body provided on a side of the engine, a hub (57), which serves as a second rotating body coupled to the drive shaft of the compressor, and a helical spring (64), couples the first and second rotating bodies. The use of the helical spring can easily set a resonant frequency of a power transmission system outside a frequency band for troque variation produced on a side of the compressor or the engine. As a result, it becomes possible to suppress resonance of the power transmission system to prevent generation of noises and damage to the internal mechanism of the compressor.

    摘要: A power transmission mechanism having a pulley rotor and a release plate. The pulley rotor is coaxial with the release plate, and power from the pulley rotor is transmitted to the release plate to rotate the pulley rotor and the release plate in the same direction. A spiral spring is located between the pulley rotor and the release plate. The spiral spring is releasably engaged with the pulley rotor. A transmission surface is provided on the pulley rotor to oppose and engage a free end of the spiral spring. The transmission surface transfers power from the pulley rotor to the release plate, and relative rotation between the pulley rotor and the release plate is permitted due to deformation of the spiral spring. A release projection causes the free end of the spiral spring to move and separate from the transmission surface in accordance with relative rotation between the pulley rotor and the release plate when the load applied to the release plate exceeds a predetermined value. Therefore, if the release plate applies an unusually strong load to the pulley rotor, it will be released from the pulley rotor.
