摘要： To provide a radiation-curable ink composition that can form a high-quality image on not only liquid absorbing materials to be recorded but also non-liquid absorbing materials to be recorded, is superior in curing properties in air, and is superior in storage stability, color tone, light fastness and water resistance of ink, and also to provide an image recording method. The radiation-curable ink composition comprises a monomer having a polymerizable group selected from the group consisting of an acryloyl group, a methacryloyl group, an allyl group, and a vinyl group, an oil-soluble dye, and from 0.005 to 1% by weight of a storage stabilizer, wherein the oil-soluble dye is dissolved in the ink.

The aqueous ink ensures that the ejection accuracy in inkjet recording is excellent and helps suppress generation of density unevenness and streak unevenness, even after storage for a long period of time or exposure to high temperatures. The aqueous ink for inkjet recording contains vinyl polymer particles containing components A and B and a water-soluble solvent. Component A is an azo pigment having a specific structure, its tautomer, or a salt or hydrate thereof; and Component B is a vinyl polymer containing (a) a hydrophobic structural unit having an aromatic ring bonded to the polymer main chain through a linking group and (b) a hydrophilic structural unit.

X is a hetero atom. n is an integer of 1 to 4. When n=2, 3, or 4, the compound is a dimer, trimer, or tetramer, respectively. A is a substituent. The azo pigment has excellent coloring characteristics such as high tinctorial strength and hue. It also has excellent durability including high resistance to light and ozone. A pigment dispersion containing the azo pigment and a coloring composition are also provided.
