The magnetoresistance device includes a substrate and a multi-layer film having a first magnetic layer, a second magnetic layer, a non-magnetic layer, a third magnetic layer and a fourth magnetic layer which are superposed on the substrate in this order. The first magnetic layer is exchange-coupled with the second magnetic layer, and the third magnetic layer is exchange coupled with the fourth magnetic layer. The first magnetic layer and the fourth magnetic layer have a magnetic anisotropy in the film-plane normal direction.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a braiding yarn made of expanded graphite for a gland packing which is to be used in a shaft seal part of a fluid apparatus or the like. In the braiding yarn made of expanded graphite of the invention, a braiding yarn base material of the inner-reinforce type is used in which a plurality of reinforcing fibers are embedded in the longitudinal direction in an expanded graphite tape of a predetermined width, with forming gaps in the width direction. A twisting process is performed in a state where both the end portions in the width direction of the expanded graphite tape are bent so that both the end portions in the width direction of the expanded graphite tape are directed toward the inner side in the width direction of the base material. Alternatively, while twisting the base material both the end portions in the width direction of the expanded graphite tape are bent so that both end portions in the width direction are directed toward the inner side in the width direction. According to the invention, flaking of expanded graphite particles during a process of twisting the braiding yarn made of expanded graphite is reduced or prevented from occurring.

    摘要: A device for detachably connecting an end fitting of a control cable with a control lever in an operating device is composed in such manner that it makes the operating device to be more short and workability of cable connection to be enhanced. The operating device consists of a strut and a control lever which are pivotally journalled to each other. A end fitting of a control cable is engaged with a free end of the control lever, which free end is bifurcated by means of planar members spaced from each other so as to define a gap. In order to engage the end fitting with the free end of the control lever, the end fitting is set so that its long side is parallel with the planar members and then passed through the gap. Thereafter, the end fitting is rotated around the cable axis by an angle of 90 deg. and the cable is pulled to engage with the free end of the control lever.
