    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to wireless communication with a waveform configured according to probabilistic constellation shaping in connection with modulation. A wireless transmission device may determine a sequence of amplitude symbols from a sequence of information bits using a distribution matcher (DM) configured for probabilistic amplitude shaping. The device may further apply error correction coding to encode an information block corresponding to at least a portion of the sequence of amplitude symbols. And the device may generate a sequence of output symbols for transmission based on the encoded information block. In various examples, the device may apply interleaving to one or more of the sequence of amplitude symbols, the information block, the encoded information block, or a combination of the sequence of amplitude symbols and the encoded information block, for the generating of the sequence of output symbols. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a first indication of a first number of antenna ports for which the UE may report channel state information (CSI), and a second indication of a second number of antenna ports on which the UE may measure CSI reference signals (CSI-RSs). The second number may be less than the first number. The UE may receive a third indication of one or more neural networks to be used by the UE for determination of the CSI associated with the first number. The UE may determine the CSI using the one or more neural networks and using measurements made by the UE on the second number as inputs to the one or more neural networks. The UE may transmit a report including the CSI associated with the first number determined via the one or more neural networks.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for collision handling for channel state information (CSI) reporting on a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH). A method for wireless communications by a user equipment (UE) is provided. The method generally includes receiving scheduling for at least one CSI reporting transmission and at least one uplink transmission in a same slot. The UE determines to multiplex the at least one CSI and the at least one uplink transmission in the slot or to drop the at least one CSI or the at least one uplink transmission in the slot. The UE transmits in the slot at least one of: the at least one CSI transmission or the at least one uplink transmission based on the determination.

    Abstract: The described techniques provide for the use of sub-band-specific reference signal precoding. A user equipment (UE) may apply multiple precoding matrices to a reference signal to generate a set of precoded reference signals and may transmit the precoded reference signals over respective sub-bands within a given reference signal resource set. In some cases, the UE may transmit a different set of precoded reference signals in each of multiple reference signal resource sets. Upon receiving the precoded reference signals, a base station may perform wideband channel estimation for each sub-band in the given reference signal resource set. The base station may compute an average spectral efficiency for each reference signal resource set and may transmit a report to the UE. The report may include one or more communication parameters for future communications between the UE and base station.
