The mobile station (38) disables the transmitter during the rescue process. On recovery the transmit power level of the transmitter is incremented for transmission of the pilot strength measurement message until a hand-off direction message is received. The transmit power level is incremented to a maximum value.

A trigger often initiates a call recovery operation, wherein the trigger indicates when a parameter or metric passes a threshold. These thresholds may be dynamic, adapting to conditions of the system (10) and environment, and the thresholds may be adjusted based on a history or statistical record of operation of the system (10).

In a multi-carrier system, the mobile station receives the pilot channel of a base station on multiple carrier frequencies simultaneously. Fading may vary from carrier frequency to carrier frequency. New pilot strength definitions are used by the mobile station in a set of rules transmitted by the base station. The set of rules determines autonomous generation and transmission of PSMMs by the mobile station upon detection of pilots.

The source cell base station contacts all recovery-capable neighbors as potential rescuers. Each rescue base station is instructed to use a default channel for rescue transmissions. The rescue transmission is considered a call recovery operation. The mobile station establishes a soft hand-off with rescue base station, wherein the FL uses the default channel and an alternate channel. Once hand-off is complete the rescue base station discontinues use of the default channel. In one embodiment, the source cell base station provides the mobile station with the list of recovery-capable neighbors as overhead during transmissions and prior to development of the communication link problem.

    摘要： A method and a vending apparatus for self-checkout unpackaged products is disclosed. The vending apparatus holds goods on one or more product trays. Load cells are mounted under each product tray and can measure the weight of the goods on the product tray in real time. A user may use a credit/debit card or an online payment app to unlock the vending apparatus and to initiate a purchase. The user may take any desired amount of goods. The apparatus automatically detects the type of goods and the weight amount taken by the user and calculates the total cost. After the user payment, the apparatus automatically resets the initial weight of the goods and is ready for the next transaction. The present invention improves the vending machine technology and expands its application to offering unpackaged products.

    摘要： Controller and method for Handover (HO) based 1×CSFB communicates Calling Party Number (CPN) to User Equipment (UE) a in a cellular communication system. A first solution provides Interworking Solution (IWS) adding CPN sent to target Base Station Controller (BSC) via Mobile Switching Center (MSC) in Interoperability Specification (IOS) HO messages. A second solution provides that IWS sends CPN with Air Interface HO message and stores the CPN until UE transition to the target Radio Access Network and acquires a traffic channel. A third solution provides that IWS receives CPN from MSC with a paging message and stores the CPN until UE transition to the target Radio Access Network and acquires a traffic channel. A fourth solution provides sending AWI message to the target Radio Access Network from the MSC. A fifth solution provides that IWS sends CPN via Feature Notification Message (FNM) data tunneled to UE before the paging message to let user decide whether to accept a call before leaving 3G/4G cellular communication.
