    Abstract: A method disclosed herein includes registering, by a UE, with a same PLMN over a 3GPP access and a non-3GPP access. The method includes receiving, by the UE, a notification message from a CN of the PLMN over the non-3GPP access, in response to at least one communication service pending to be delivered to the UE over the 3GPP access. The method includes sending, by the UE, a notification response message to the CN over the non-3GPP access, in response to the received notification message. In order to avoid delay in acquiring downlink communication services, the method includes triggering, by the UE, the registration procedure with the CN to receive communication services over the 3GPP access in response to the UE entering the coverage of the 3GPP access.

    Abstract: A method and system in the User Equipment (UE) for maintaining rejected network slice selection assistance information (NSSAI) for Single Network Slice Selection Assistance Information (S-NSSAI) not available due to maximum number of UEs reached per access type. Thereafter, the method includes determining by the UE an access type on which the rejected S-NSSAI(s) is applicable based on the received S-NSSAI(s) information and then maintaining a storage of the rejected NSSAI for the S-NSSAI not available due to the maximum number of the UEs reached per access type based on the determination.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides a method for providing user equipment (UE) radio access capabilities in a handover procedure. The method includes identifying, by a source next-generation radio access network (NG-RAN), that a target public land mobile network (PLMN) does not support a UE radio access capabilities identifier (RAC ID) assigned by a source PLMN in an inter-PLMN handover procedure. Further, the method includes providing, by the source NG-RAN, to a target NG-RAN, the UE radio access capabilities instead of the UE RAC ID in response to identifying that the target PLMN does not support the UE RAC ID assigned by the source PLMN.
